Grateful Dead Launch Merch Trucks For 'Fare Thee Well' Shows

(Radio.com) As diehard Grateful Dead fans make the pilgrimage to Chicago for the band's three-night stand at Solider Field, they might want to clear some space on those credit cards for a unique shopping experience.

To coincide with the "Fare Thee Well: Celebrating 50 Years of Grateful Dead" shows happening July 3-5, two official Grateful Dead merchandise trucks will be driving around Chicago, setting up shop at various locations to sell licensed items exclusive to the trucks. Among the merch available will include t-shirts, hats, hoodies, jewelry, tote bags and more.

The trucks went into action beginning Tuesday (June 30) and will run through July 6. Fans looking to catch up with the Grateful Dead trucks in Chicago can track their movements and find location stops via the band's Twitter account, @GratefulDead, and by following the hashtag #GDtruckin.
