Muse Debut New Song 'Mercy'
. 'The opening line of 'Mercy'--Help me I've fallen on the inside'--is a reference to the protagonist knowing and recognizing that they have lost something, they have lost themselves," Bellamy said with the song's release in a press statement. "This is where they realize they're being overcome by the dark forces that were introduced in 'Psycho.'" This song follows the aforementioned "Psycho" and "Dead Inside" in advance of the June 9 release date for Drones. If Bellamy's above quote makes the album sound like it has a specific concept in mind, that's because it does. In a recent interview with KROQ, Bellamy mentioned, 'it's a pretty specific narrative that runs through the first part of the album and ends on this song called 'Aftermath.' It kind of follows a journey." Check out the new song here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
