Singled Out: Separations' Dream Eater
. The inspiration stemmed from a lot of what I was dealing with at the time. Myself. I was having battles in my head everyday. I wasn't happy with who I was and I wanted desperately to change. At the time we started writing this album I had come up with the term "Dream Eater" and it eventually blew up into an entire concept for the record. It involved this creature that was responsible for everything terrible that happened in the world. Wars, famine, natural disasters, terrible emotions, you name it. The hero in the song "Dream Eater" was given one final choice. Turn around and face his fears, or forever be consumed by the darkness. The fight took place at the edge of his mind where he was surrounded by his memories, good and bad. The beast couldn't get the best of the hero though, and he went on to bathe in the light of his new found accomplishment. His sanity reborn. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
