The People Vs. OJ Simpson Vs. Adele Mashup
. Over at The Late Late Show, James Corden saw shades of Adele in the late-night conversation, which began with the familiar words: "Hello?" and "It's me." Like any good late night host, Corden put his staff to work laying audio from Adele's "Hello" over footage from the mega-hit installment of American Crime Story. As Clark, Paulson continues, "We talked this afternoon. Are you comfortable with that? Are you happy?" seeming to lift words and ideas directly from the Adele track. Finally, the mash-up brings in the swelling chorus as Cuba Gooding Jr. (as OJ Simpson) is pictured in a jumpsuit--hello from the other side, indeed. When in doubt, Corden should rely on Adele for comic inspiration--her installment of his "Carpool Karaoke" series broke late night streaming records and captivated fans as only Adele can.
