Kanye West Acts Like An Ass At Another Awards Show
Crybaby Kanye West proved once again why he should be permanently barred from all awards ceremonies when he jumped on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night and disrupted Taylor Swift as she was giving an acceptance speech.

Swift's "You Belong With Me," beat out Beyonce's "Single Ladies" for best female video. Kanye who has been a crybaby on his own behalf at past the VMAs, the Grammys, the American Music Awards when he lost, this time was a crybaby and sore loser for Beyonce.

As Swift was accepting her award, the AP reports that Kanye jumped up on stage and said "Taylor, I'm really happy for you, and I'm gonna let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time." AP reports that a shocked Beyonce looked on and the crowd began to boo. A crestfallen Swift didn't finish her speech, but the audience applauded her anyway. She later performed "You Belong With Me" in a subway station. -

American Idol Replaces Paula Abdul With Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen DeGeneres is dancing her way into the fourth judge's seat on "American Idol." Fox announced Wednesday the talk show host and comedian, who admittedly has no formal music experience other than a passion for tunes, would join Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi for the ninth season starting in January.

The announcement all but seals the departure of Paula Abdul, who announced she was quitting the show amid a contract dispute in July.

DeGeneres told her talk show audience in an episode scheduled to air Thursday that she would not abandon her Emmy-winning chatfest, but would have "a day job and a night job." -

Susan Boyle's Debut Album Set For Release
Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle's debut I Dreamed a Dream will be out on Columbia on November 24th. Early predictions say it will be one of the biggest selling albums of the 2009 holiday season. Pre-orders have topped Jay-Z, Whitney Houston, and even The Beatles' remastered CDs, making Boyle #1 on the Amazon.com's best-sellers list.

Boyle was plucked from obscurity when she sang "I Dreamed A Dream" from musical Les Miserables on "Britain's Got Talent" earlier this year. The clip of her performance is one of the most watched ever on YouTube.

Tune in to the season finale of NBC's "America's Got Talent" on Wednesday, September 16th for a special live performance by Boyle - http://www.susanboylemusic.com/

Avril Lavigne and Sum 41's Deryck Whibley Split Up
Marriage is so like complicated and stuff. We'll let Jam! tell you: Avril Lavigne says she has split from husband Deryck Whibley after three years of marriage. Lavigne, who grew up in Napanee, Ont., announced the separation in a blog posting on her MySpace page on Thursday after a published report in Us Weekly broke the news.

"Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note," wrote Lavigne, 24. "Thank you to all my family, friends and fans for all your support."

Lavigne and Whibley, the frontman for Canadian pop-punk group Sum 41, began dating in 2004 before getting engaged during a trip to Venice, Italy in 2005. They married on July 15, 2006 in Montecito, Calif., when Lavigne was 21 and Whibley was 25. - more on this story

Chris Brown Says He Still Loves Rihanna
Chris Brown has been camera shy since his arrest for beating Rihanna but now that his sentencing is behind him he is facing the media one again and spoke with CNN's Larry King and celeb rag People, which both released excerpts of the exchange on Monday.

Brown's peeps were quick to claim that the CNN online preview clip misrepresented the entire interview with Larry King. According to Reuters: King, whose interview airs on Wednesday night on CNN's "Larry King Live," asked Brown if he could remember the event, and in the brief video, the singer clearly said "no." "I just look at it like, wow, I'm in shock, because, first of all, that's not who I am as a person, and that's not who I promise I want to be," Brown said. "So when I look at the police reports or hear about the police reports, I just don't know what to think."

And in the People interview he says of Rihanna, "I never fell out of love with her. That just wouldn't go away." That will hit newsstands on Friday. -

Michael Jackson Thought Original Thriller Sucked
NME reports: Michael Jackson believed that initial mixes of his seminal album 'Thriller' were "crap" and "sucked", it has been revealed in a newly-unearthed interview.

In the interview from 1980s, published by the News Of The World, the late singer revealed that he was considering scrapping the Quincy Jones-produced album before being inspired by watching children play to salvage it.

"'Thriller' sounded so crap. The mixes sucked," he said. "When we listened to the whole album, there were tears... I just cried like a baby. I stormed out of the room and said, 'We're not releasing this'." - more on this story
