(press release) New York City-based chamber pop rock quartet Summer Lawns will be releasing their debut full-length album, entitled "First We Waited�.Then It Started," on July 19th. The disc will be released jointly by S-MOD Records and Isadore Records with national distribution via Redeye. Formed June 2003, Summer Lawns has been gaining notoriety for their intelligent, cathartic, and haunting live performances in New York. They position intimate vocals and songwriting amid a grand backdrop of lush instrumentation, creating songs that are at once both shimmering and spare, as if Nick Drake sat down for drinks with Yo La Tengo in Low's palatial kitchen at 3 a.m. [see full story for more] - Click here for the Full Story
