Plant Success |
KNAC reports: In a show-stopping, legendary
moment, Pearl Jam was joined by Robert Plant on stage at House of Blues®
Chicago during an intimate concert event which raised more than $1 million
to benefit hurricane disaster relief funds. The show featured individual
sets by Pearl Jam and Robert Plant and the Strange Sensation, ending in

Lose Ulf |
siN's metal news reports: Swedish death metallers
VOMITORY have posted the following message on their official website:
"We are very sorry to break the news that
guitarist Ulf Dalegren has decided to leave VOMITORY after fifteen years
in the band. Life changes quite a lot during fifteen years and the priorities
we need to make change as well along with it. We hate to see Ulf go, but
we understand and respect his decision to 100%. We part our musical ways
as the best of friends and continue as drinking companions just as usual.
We wish him the best of luck with everything in the future![see full story

Van
Helsing’s Curse |
Chipster reports: VAN HELSING'S CURSE, the
classical/rock music brainchild of TWISTED SISTER frontman Dee Snider,
is back this Halloween bringing its horror-inspired ambience to the stage
throughout the month of October.
The music, which is performed live by an
18-piece orchestra, a choir and a rock band, pairs heart-pounding, terrifying
original compositions with clever re-workings of such memorable classic
pieces as Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells" (made famous by "The Exorcist"
film), Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata", and more and reaches its ominous
climax with a spine-chilling cover version of BLACK SABBATH's classic "Black
Sabbath". [see full story for more]- Click

Blunt

Day in Rock reports: You can check out James
Blunt's entire “Back to Bedlam” album by clicking on the full story link.
A little more about James Blunt"BACK TO
BEDLAM" has proven a sensation in the 28-year-old singer/songwriter's native
Great Britain. Released in the U.K. in October 2004, it recently spent
a stunning nine weeks at #1 on the nation's album chart (where it bumped
Coldplay's "X & Y" from the pole position). In addition, "You're Beautiful"
was the undisputed single of the summer, spending five weeks in the top
spot. The dual successes marked the first time that a male solo artist
has ruled both charts at the same time for four weeks running since Rod
Stewart did it thirty years ago. - Click
