"As some of you may know, Adam has had a recurring back problem that has bothered him on the last few tours. It has now become apparent that Adam will need back surgery. As a result, the rest of the guys have decided that Adam should not do the upcoming Taste of Chaos international tour and risk further back problems. High on Fire Invade Europe

Relapse reports: Oakland's power trio HIGH ON FIRE will make a return trip to Europe for an appearance at the legendary All Tomorrows Party. HIGH ON FIRE were invited to perform at All Tomorrows Party by headliners THE MARS VOLTA, and will join them on December 3rd as part of a main stage lineup with MASTODON, THE FUCKING CHAMPS and more.

The European tour also sees them joining forces with long-time friends MASTODON for a week-long UK run. With their 1981 debut album “Welcome To Hell” and the ominous chant of, “Evil…In league with Satan!,” Venom declared war on the status quo, spit in the face of the very notion of common decency, and set the pace for what was to come in the world of extreme music. The British trio of alcohol-fueled, evil-minded wild men created a legacy unlike any other, coining the phrase “black metal” and influencing such juggernauts as Slayer and Metallica. Indeed, the very image of Cronos, Mantas and Abaddon, as well as the pentagrams and inverted crosses that adorned their album covers, helped bring an image and an attitude to heavy metal that is still poignant to this day. After The Storm

Atlantic Records reports: AFTER THE STORM is an effort formed by a group of music industry art directors, to help families and animals devastated by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Thousands of families affected by this catastrophe continue to seek help finding family members, shelter, food and medical attention. Thousands of animals are still left in the heat in search of rescue. In an effort to help, art directors throughout the music industry (Morning Breath Inc., Slang Inc., Atlantic Records) have collaborated to design a line of t-shirts that will be sold in support of the Hurricane Katrina and Rita relief effort. Every dollar and cent made will be donated directly to the families and animals affected by this set of disasters.

AFTER THE STORM will donate ALL proceeds from our t-shirt sales to the following organizations:

Victory reports: Darkest Hour is locked, loaded and ready to slay fans on tour with Converge and The Red Chord! This tour follows jaunts with Norma Jean, a full European tour, a summer tour with Bleeding Through and East Coast Warped Tour dates in support of Undoing Ruin, which hit stores on June 28th, 2005. Debuting at #138 in the Billboard Top 200, Undoing Ruin shot to the top of the CMJ Charts, remaining at #1 on the CMJ Crucial Chart for 7 weeks straight. Darkest Hour has appeared on Fuse TV’s “Metal 101” episode of Uranium and on Metal Asylum. The video for Convalescence is spinning on Fuse TV’s Metal Asylum and MTV2’s Headbanger’s Ball.
