Punkbands reports: William Beckett of The
Academy Is.. writes : William Beckett here. This is strange, but we have
an imposter on our hands. Here is some clarification for you all. There
is no possible way that Andrew Mrotek, The Butcher Bishop, has a LiveJournal...
for the following reasons:
A. The Butcher is in no way computer savvy.
B. He still runs on a 56k modem.
C. He wouldn't know where to start in
creating an account on here, let alone making a Live Journal icon with
himself on it.
D. The REAL proof that The Butcher does
not have a LiveJournal account: According to user "andrewmrotek" , Butcher
is in Tampa writing songs with Mike and I. The truth is that as of 4 hours
ago, Butcher got sick, cancelled his flight, and is back home in Milwaukee
resting. We just got off the phone with him.

Is Cancer Free |
Punkbands reports: MTV is reporting that Andrew
McMahon, lead singer of Something Corporate and Jack`s Mannequin is now
in recovery from Acute Lymphatic Leukemia. McMahon was diagnosed with the
illness this past June. He recieved a stem-cell transplant via a bone marrow
donation from his sister on August 23rd. [see full story for more]-

have posted the following message on their official website:
"To all the fans who came to the show in
Detroit only to find it cancelled....we sincerely apologize for this. Unfortunately,
upon arrival and days prior to the show we found out the promotor of this
date was unable to honor the agreed upon contracts for all of the bands
on the tour package. We showed up for the show at load in, hoping to work
something out but were unable to come to an agreement that would work for
all parties involved in the tour. We are a package on this tour and it
is either all of us or none of us. In the end all bands agreed it could

Sweden-based ESCAPI MUSIC is set to unleash new music from DRAGONLORD.
DRAGONLORD is set to release “Black Wings
of Destiny”. Founded in 2001 by superhuman Testament guitarist Eric Peterson,
Dragonlord presents a darker, black metal-tinged side of his musicianship.
Dragonlord has previously released the critically acclaimed “Rapture”.
Peterson tackles both guitar and vocal work with great aptitude. Also featuring
Derek Ramirez (Testament), Steve Smyth (Nevermore), Jon Allen (Sadus) and
Kyle Livingston, Dragonlord is truly a musician’s dream project. Recorded
in Gothenburg, Sweden, “Black Wings Of Destiny” promises to satisfy the

Chipster reports: Ricky Warwick - singer/songwriter/guitarist
extraordinaire – is out on the road as a part of the highly anticipated
Def Leppard tour, which recently kicked off. Ricky will be on the entire
tour with Def Leppard, who will be joined by Bryan Adams on some dates
and Cheap Trick on others.
Warwick finds himself on the road to support
his second solo release, Love Many Trust Few, which was released in May
2005. Ricky wrote this very personal album with Irish singer/songwriter
Kieran Goss, famed Nashville writers Sharon Vaughn (Willie Nelson, Reba
McIntire, Oakridge Boys) and Rob Crosby (Martina McBride) as well as Del
James (Guns N’ Roses). Guest appearances include Joe Elliott and Vivian
Campbell of Def Leppard. Love Many Trust Few follows Warick’s 2003 solo
debut, Tattoos & Alibis, which Def Leppard front man Joe Elliot produced.

Harper PR reports: On October 23rd at 9pm,
SPARKLEMOTION will premiere the video for their single, “GIRLS LIKE YOU,”
at Hollywood hotspot ROKBAR. The song is their first original release and
follows their cover of Cyndi Lauper’s “TIME AFTER TIME,” from Napoleon
Dynamite, which spent five months on the itunes soundtrack singles chart.
Rob Schroeder directed the video, having
recently shot “AGAINST ALL ODDS” for The Postal Service, as well as videos
for Breaking Benjamin and Adema. He’s a veteran commercial and video producer/director
and was excited to shoot a video featuring the unique and interesting musicians
that make up SPARKLEMOTION: Meeco, Kennedy, and Grigsby.
The party also honors bandmate Kennedy’s
#1 ifilm video “WHO’S LOVIN’ YOUR MAMA?” Kennedy’s video has become a cult
smash in only a few weeks, rocketing to the top of download charts on several

Harper PR reports: Animal Planet today announced
the initial singer line-up for its new special, Trail MIX, which premieres
Sunday, January 29, 2006; 8 - 10 PM (ET/PT). The eclectic mix of top performing
musical artists featured include former Matchbox Twenty front-man and now
solo recording artist Rob Thomas; two-time Grammy winner and cross-over
country music sweetheart LeAnn Rimes; solo recording artist and legendary
lead guitarist of the rock super band, Aerosmith, Joe Perry; Grammy winner
and country music singer/song-writer Mary Chapin Carpenter; and world-renowned
Irish tenor Ronan Tynan. Two additional singers will be named at a later
date. The program is hosted by concert and recording artist and Broadway
sensation, Linda Eder, who is also co-creator and co-executive producer.
Eder's latest album, "By Myself: The Songs of Judy Garland," was released
on October 4.
Shot in high definition, Trail MIX highlights

to announce the autumn 2005 release of "The Concert For Bangladesh - George
Harrison & Friends" on DVD and CD.
The Concert for Bangladesh was the first
benefit concert of its kind in that it brought together an extraordinary
assemblage of major artists. The two shows, a Grammy award-winning triple
album boxset, and the feature film, generated millions of dollars for a
charitable cause and as importantly raised global awareness of a hitherto
unpublicized humanitarian disaster. It is therefore acknowledged as the
inspiration and forerunner of the major global fundraising events of recent
years. To quote the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan "George and his friends
were pioneers".
The DVD will be released by WMG (Warner
Music Group) on October 25th, 2005, as a 2-disc package, including the
original 99 minute film restored and remixed in 5.1, as well as 72 minutes
of extras. All artists royalties from the sales of the DVD and the CD will
