a Deluxe Edition of Crimson on Tuesday, December 6th. The new release will
contain a bonus disc with 14 songs...10 demo versions and 4 acoustic versions

Contact Music reports: American rockers PEARL
JAM have been given the go-ahead to perform in Sao Paulo by the Brazilian
city's mayor, following weeks of doubts.
Mayor JOSE SERRA had suspended shows in
Pacaembu after residents living in the wealthy neighbourhood near the city's
biggest stadium complained about noise and mess.

MTV reports: A federal court in Los Angeles
temporarily stopped a Web site from advertising that it can teach people
how to legally trade music, video games and movies that are still in theaters.
The site, MP3DownloadCity.com, was ordered to stop promoting its service
after the Federal Trade Commission filed a complaint against its operator
alleging that the site fooled customers into believing that for $24.95
they could legally engage in peer-to-peer file-swapping[see full story

as the 2006 MuisCares Person Of The Year at a gala dinner on February 6,
2006. The event is part of the week leading up to next year's Grammy Awards.

Press Release reports: Touring in support
of the recently released American Apathy, Dope will kick off a Japanese
tour beginning on Halloween night in Tokyo.
Filling in for Racci on drums for these
upcoming Japanese dates will be Murderdolls drummer Ben Graves, who has
been laying low in Los Angeles while Jordison tours along with Slipknot.
Graves is best known for being the drummer of the Murderdolls, the shock

Relapse Records reports: EXHUMED have announced
fall / winter tour dates in support of their upcoming release Garage Daze
Re-Regurgitated available on Parasitic Twin Records, distributed via Relapse
Records. These west coast gore fiends will kick off their five week tour
on October 27th in Aptos, CA. Throughout the course of the tour, EXHUMED
will share stages with the likes of BEHEMOTH, RUMPELSTILTSKIN GRINDER,
GRIEF and many others.
Garage Daze Re-Regurgitated is a collection
of cover songs that harken back to the band's filthiest roots (Master,
Siege, Unseen Terror) and pays homage to influential classics (Pentagram,
Amebix, Samhain and The Cure). Garage Daze Re-Regurgitated will see a U.S.

stores on November 8th. The 4-disc set contains three discs of live footage
taken from the Live 8 shows staged in London and Philadelphia alongside
key highlights from the seven other events staged across the world. Every
artist who performed at London's Hyde Park and Philadelphia's Museum Of
Art appear on the DVD, many of them with their full sets. The fine folks

Fanscape reports: mtvU, MTV’s college network,
today announced performers for the 2005 mtvU Woodie Awards -- the only
show honoring the music voted best by the college audience. Set to take
the stage at the first-ever live “Woodies” music event and ceremony are
mtvU favorites Death Cab for Cutie, Little Brother and Matisyahu. Saul
Williams will also perform at the event, joining Matisyahu for a special,
first-ever collaboration. The 2005 mtvU Woodie Awards will take place November
2nd at Roseland Ballroom in New York City and will premiere on mtvU on
November 10th. Additional performers and presenters will be announced shortly.
To vote for the second-annual mtvU Woodie
Awards, college students around the country are invited to visit www.mtvU.com
before October 28th. There they can experience interviews, features and
music videos by all “Woodies” nominees, plus submit and watch videos from
student fans petitioning for their favorite nominee. Students can also
listen to the nominees and cast their vote at mtvU Woodie Awards mobile
vehicles that are traveling to campuses across the country. Nominated artists
will be profiled on-air throughout the voting period and on mtvU music

Naked Explains Delay |
antiMusic reports: antiMusic's Morley Seaver
lined up another one of his favorite artists for this week's MorleyView.
This time around he spoke with the "real" Queen of Canadian rock, Bif Naked,
who just released her first album since 2001. Here is an excerpt from the
MorleyView where Bif explains the long delay between albums.
antiMusic: Purge came out in
2001. Why such a long wait?
Bif: It's always the same. I always
wait four years between records and I'm sure I'll wait another four before
I do another one. We usually tour an album that long and you know, touring
is definitely the best part of my job, to be sure. And it just seems like
you know, the commitments we have in every territory where the record comes
out, entails us being there geographically. And we were just frankly unable
to get into the studio until we did.
