Silver Halen
Rock N Roll Universe reports: In a brand new, exclusive interview with Rock N Roll Universe Silvertide vocalist Walt Lafty discusses the band's upcoming, as yet unitled new album, the followup to 2004's 'Show And Tell,' the band's extensive touring which took them around the world opening up for Van Halen, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Velvet Revolver, Alice Cooper and Kid Rock.

[Walt on Eddie Van Halen] I know he had 18 surgeries on his tongue to get out the mouth cancer. That's a bummer, I'm sure, but he survived it. I heard he had a hip replacement, but he didn't tell me that. Just to be up there, and to try and do that again, for whatever motives or reasons you have to be on that stage. Whether it's for the money, or for the music itself, or for the sheer joy of living that experience over and over again. Because nothing gets close to being onstage. Whatever his motives were, he loved it. You could see that, after all the years. [see full story for the entire interview]- Click Here for the Full Story

T Bone Returns!
Press Release reports: T Bone Burnett’s 1st studio album in 14 years, The True False Identity – in stores May 16th! With The True False Identity, T Bone has emerged from a self-imposed 14 year hiatus as a recording artist to bring his first album of new original songs since 1992. T Bone says of his extended break, "After the last record (1992's The Criminal Under My Own Hat), I felt I could write some new songs and go around the track again, but I didn't feel that I would get anywhere. The road had become too difficult. Music had come completely apart for me. But more importantly, I didn't have anything I wanted to say. It all seemed pointless, so I decided to explore some of the other ideas that were coming my way. I needed freedom. I needed time to find another way into playing music again." He said, "DCFS responds to all complaints." He added that DCFS closed the case on the spot, at the house. Rollins Gets Black
Cornerstone reports: Missed the already legendary San Francisco shows in March? Don't want to wait until fall to see Frank Black perform solo? Though, to be honest, he won't exactly be solo - he's expected to appear with Moris Tepper, rumor has it, the two of them performing I Burn Today.

After the show airs, IFC.com will also be hosting a web-only exclusive performance of Nadine, probably also with Mr. Moris. That should be a very interesting exclusive indeed, good stuff![see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Underground DVD
Adrenaline PR reports: Up From The Underground: Sounds Of The Underground Live: Volume One DVD to hit streets June 20th. Lamb of God, Clutch, Unearth, Gwar, DevilDriver and others featured.

Last year marked the inaugural Sounds of the Underground tour, which saw 17 of the best and most brutal metal acts around traverse the U.S. and Canada in what proved to be a very successful alternative to the more commercial Ozzfest. The tour hit the parking lot of the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ on July 2nd, 2005, and with it came almost 5000 fans. Metal bands like A Life Once Once Lost and Strapping Young Lad hammered out their sets alongside hardcore acts like Madball and Throwdown in the sweltering 95+ degree midday heat. As the sun began to set, stalwarts like Chimaira, Poison the Well and From Autumn to Ashes played well into the darkness. All of the passion and power of that day is captured in Sounds of the Underground Live: Vol. 1. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
