Halen |
Rock N Roll Universe reports: In a brand new,
exclusive interview with Rock N Roll Universe Silvertide vocalist Walt
Lafty discusses the band's upcoming, as yet unitled new album, the followup
to 2004's 'Show And Tell,' the band's extensive touring which took them
around the world opening up for Van Halen, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Velvet
Revolver, Alice Cooper and Kid Rock.
[Walt on Eddie Van Halen] I know he had
18 surgeries on his tongue to get out the mouth cancer. That's a bummer,
I'm sure, but he survived it. I heard he had a hip replacement, but he
didn't tell me that. Just to be up there, and to try and do that again,
for whatever motives or reasons you have to be on that stage. Whether it's
for the money, or for the music itself, or for the sheer joy of living
that experience over and over again. Because nothing gets close to being
onstage. Whatever his motives were, he loved it. You could see that, after
all the years. [see full story for the entire interview]-

the U.S.S.R, the young challenged the old. Those who questioned authority

rock festival to be held in the former Soviet Union. Captured on film,

a concert feature signalling the arrival of a new political order, demanded
by the people and heralded in by the sounds of some of the biggest names
in rock music. Warner Home Video will debut the title on DVD 5th June.

the hours of approximately 8pm and 10:25pm. Tour manager Teresa Murray

Bone Returns! |
Press Release reports: T Bone Burnetts 1st
studio album in 14 years, The True False Identity in stores May 16th!
With The True False Identity, T Bone has emerged from a self-imposed 14
year hiatus as a recording artist to bring his first album of new original
songs since 1992. T Bone says of his extended break, "After the last record
(1992's The Criminal Under My Own Hat), I felt I could write some new songs
and go around the track again, but I didn't feel that I would get anywhere.
The road had become too difficult. Music had come completely apart for
me. But more importantly, I didn't have anything I wanted to say. It all
seemed pointless, so I decided to explore some of the other ideas that
were coming my way. I needed freedom. I needed time to find another way
into playing music again." [see full story to hear the first single]-

Cleared |
TMZ reports: An L.A. County Sheriff's official
tells TMZ that the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services
(DCFS) has closed its investigation into the welfare of Britney Spears'
child.
The official said that his department accompanied
DCFS to Spears' home on April 8, based on a complaint. We asked the Sheriff's
rep if DCFS paid a visit because the complaint had merit. He said, "DCFS
responds to all complaints." He added that DCFS closed the case on the
spot, at the house. According to the rep: "Everyone was fine" so it was
"case closed."[see full story for more]- Click

Rollins
Gets Black |
Cornerstone reports: Missed the already legendary
San Francisco shows in March? Don't want to wait until fall to see Frank
Black perform solo? Well, you can catch him wherever you are on the Independent
Film Channel's Henry Rollins Show April 15. In other words, next Saturday
night on IFC at 10pm EST, 7pm PST, and again 1AM/10PM. Though, to be honest,
he won't exactly be solo - he's expected to appear with Moris Tepper, rumor
has it, the two of them performing I Burn Today.
After the show airs, IFC.com will also
be hosting a web-only exclusive performance of Nadine, probably also with
Mr. Moris. That should be a very interesting exclusive indeed, good stuff![see

Underground
DVD |
Adrenaline PR reports: Up From The Underground:
Sounds Of The Underground Live: Volume One DVD to hit streets June 20th.
Lamb of God, Clutch, Unearth, Gwar, DevilDriver and others featured.
Last year marked the inaugural Sounds of
the Underground tour, which saw 17 of the best and most brutal metal acts
around traverse the U.S. and Canada in what proved to be a very successful
alternative to the more commercial Ozzfest. The tour hit the parking lot
of the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ on July 2nd, 2005, and with
it came almost 5000 fans. Metal bands like A Life Once Once Lost and Strapping
Young Lad hammered out their sets alongside hardcore acts like Madball
and Throwdown in the sweltering 95+ degree midday heat. As the sun began
to set, stalwarts like Chimaira, Poison the Well and From Autumn to Ashes
played well into the darkness. All of the passion and power of that day
is captured in Sounds of the Underground Live: Vol. 1. [see full story
