Kayos reports: Locomotive Records is proud
to release Warrior Soul by Metal Pioneer Doro Pesch on May 23. The album
was created in Switzerland, Tennessee, New York and Germany; and inspired
by her first feature film role earlier this year in Luke Gasser’s Anuk—The
Warrior’s Way.
The sound returns Doro to the ways of her
first band, Warlock, which she fronted to forever change the face of modern
metal music. It stands in perfect contrast to her last opus, 2004’s Classic
Diamonds, in which she stretched out to perform decidedly non-metal ballads
and mid-tempo rockers with a symphony orchestra. Here—with bassist Nick
Douglas, guitarist Joe Taylor, keyboardist Oliver Palotai and drummer Johnny
Dee—Doro is back to Major League Metal form, hard-charging through 12 tracks

a website based in Detroit, Michigan is the official sponsor of Stonehenge
2006. This one-day eight-band festival focuses on putting the best of Midwestern
metal on the stage with four national touring acts, and is to be the first

May 20th, the weekend before Memorial Day Weekend, and being held at legendary
local hard rock/metal venue The I-Rock Nightclub, Stonehenge is an All

shirts and screenprints, plus women’s

antiMusic reports: A lot of people work hard
to make antiMusic what it is. So with our 8th anniversary we felt it was
time to spotlight each writer so you can get to know them a little better.
Over the next few weeks we will be posting a small portion of each staff
person's new profile page. So let's begin and get to know Greenmuse a little
better.
Greenmuse is from the land of Orange Juice
and hanging chads and has been with antiMusic Feb of 2001. The first CD
he purchased was Def Leppard's Hysteria and his first concert was "some
dork who came to our school and played an acoustic". He lists The Clash,
Op Ivy, The Damned, Social Distortion, Johnny Cash, Not Sensibles, Toy
Dolls, Major Accident, The Business and Wesley Willis as his Top 10 Favorite
artists. His musical pet peeves are "stupid songs about stupid subjects.
see 'my humps' and 'that damn grill song' by Paul Wall. Music I know and
love being used in commercials. The fact that despite all these years,
Gwen Stefani still won't go out with me. I can look past her solo project.
