The Cursed
PR reports: One of the most instantly recognizable voices in all of heavy metal, Overkill's Bobby 'Blitz' Ellsworth has for the first time in his career momentarily stepped out of his full-time band. With the launch of The Cursed, Ellsworth is joined by guitarist Dan Lorenzo (ex-Hades and Non-Fiction), bassist Job the Raver (Murder 1), and drummer Mike Cristi (ex-Non-Fiction). Libertines Semi Reunion
Gigwise reports: Carl Barat and Pete Doherty have united on an upcoming track.

The former Libertines lynchpins both appear on a cover version of The Clash classic 'Janie Jones'. However, the pair never set foot in a studio together - instead they recorded their parts separately after they were individually asked to contribute.

The song was devised by Strummerville, a music charity set up to honour the late-great Clash frontman Joe Strummer.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Paolo Nutini EP
PR reports: Born and raised in Paisley, Scotland, Paolo Nutini, is a 19-year-old singer/songwriter who has been blessed with a soulful, passionate voice and the natural gift of being able to tell a story in a song. Nutini has absorbed the soul of the great American R&B singers and channeled it into something original, captivating, and dynamic.

His debut Atlantic release, THE LIVE SESSIONS, (in stores September 12th) is an intimate introduction to this powerful new artist via performances captured at a series of small venues in London. Songs such as the poignant "Rewind" or the anthemic "These Streets" reveal Paolo to be an artist who knows an awful lot about the vicissitudes of life and love, with a unique gift for expressing the attitudes and experiences of someone his age. THE LIVE SESSIONS EP precedes Nutini's full-length debut, THESE STREETS, (produced by Ken Nelson - Coldplay, Ray LaMontagne, Badly Drawn Boy) which will arrive on these shores early next year. Lilith & Danzig
PR reports: Though he made his reputation with his uncompromising metallic rock and hardcore punk, Glenn Danzig turned heads by debuting at #1 on Billboard's classical chart with 1993's "Black Aria," a darkly beguiling interpretation of the "Paradise Lost" story that blended orchestral, Celtic and other forms to tell the epic tale of Satan's rebellion. On October 17, Danzig will release the eagerly awaited "Black Aria II" (evillive/Megaforce), which takes on another rebel of ancient lore - Lilith, Adam's wife before Eve.

Produced, written and - with a couple of exceptions - performed by Glenn, "Black Aria II" employs thundering organ, otherworldly chants, operatic lamentations, poignant strings, ominous percussion, ritualistic chimes and other mysterious sounds to weave its spell.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
