MTV reports: New York teenager Darren Samuel
was convicted Tuesday of robbery and second-degree murder in connection
with the stabbing of a 15-year-old over an iPod. Samuel, 17, faces up to
25 years in prison for his part in the attack of Christopher Rose, who
was stabbed in the chest when he and friends resisted a group that accosted
them in the street and demanded they give up an iPod one of them was carrying..[see

antiMusic reports: This year's American Idol
runner-up Katharine McPhee confessed to People Magazine that she struggled
for years with bulimia. A disorder that not only threatened her life, but
also her vocal chords.
She said that it got so bad that she was
vomiting up to seven times a day which was like "putting a sledgehammer
to your vocal cords," McPhee said in the interview.
The 22 year-old singer told People in an
interview published on their website Thursday that she finally sought help
after he successful American Idol audition and took part in an intensive
three month program at an eating disorder center in Los Angeles. She credits
the television karaoke contest with saving her life. The full article will

Vs Turkish Media |
antiMusic reports: System of a Down are a
bit peeved at the Turkish media. We'll let the band tell you what happened.
Here is a statement they have issued on their official website: The Turkish
media has been spreading blatant lies about System of a Down, among them
the claim that we had an anti-Turk slogan printed on tickets during our
1998 tour with Slayer.
The truth is that System of a Down cancelled
our shows opening for Slayer in Turkey in 1998. Any tickets for the Turkish
portion of the 1998 Slayer tour were printed on Slayer's behalf, not ours.
In fact, there were no Anti-Turkish slurs printed on any tickets for that,
or any other tour involving System of a Down.[see full story for more]-

antiMusic reports: DMX's rap sheet is growing
and if he keeps up at this rate it may soon challenge Pete Doherty's criminal
record. The rapper has been cited in Scottsdale, Arizona for carrying a
concealed handgun.
He was reportedly in a 1964 Chevy convertible
near Scottsdale nightclub Buzz, when police saw him place a handgun under
the front seat of the vehicle. Police cited him for failing to have a permit
for a concealed weapon, a misdemeanor. [see full story for more]-

antiMusic reports: Zakk Wylde has filed a
lawsuit against 357 Customs, a company that was selling Zakk Wylde branded
products that apparently wasn't filling fan's orders or promising more
than they delivered (see below). The following post was made to the official
BLS site about the situation: "Berserkers - I know you have been awaiting
my response to 357 Customs' unscrupulous conduct in connection with their
promotion. I have filed a lawsuit against 357 Customs."
The following is some information from
wikipedia about the 357 situation: There is currently a dispute involving
several 357 Customs promotions and Zakk Wylde Gibson (Epiphone) guitars.
Although the promotion was not run, or personally endorsed by Zakk Wylde,
the company 357 Customs does have a business relationship with him. This
promotion is a purported scam regarding a promotion run by 357customs.com
in which they promised a "free" Zakk Wylde branded Epiphone guitar upon
the purchase of several Zakk Wylde branded goods included in a variety
of bundles. Said goods included $100 gift certificates, diecast miniatures,
and mp4 audio/video players, as well as miscellaneous Zakk Wylde styled
paraphernalia. The cost of bundles was significant, often in the range
of a few hundred dollars and many customers willingly made several purchases
in order to receive several Zakk Wylde branded guitars. [see full story

Launch reports: Hip-hop mogul Master P did
very well early on in his career with the straight-to-video releases I'm
Bout It, Bout It, I Got The Hook Up, and Foolish, and now he's hoping to
take over the straight-to-DVD market with the launch of his new film company,
Hollyhood Cinemas. So far, Master P's plan is working, as the first release
from Hollyhood Cinemas, Repos, is already on back order. The film, which
hits video retail outlets on the Fourth of July, stars Master P, Kat Williams,
