Rock Band Sues New Jersey Devils For $10 Million |
BWR guitarist and front man Rob Traynor released the following statement on the matter: Around September 2010 I received a text message from a friend of mine who was at a New Jersey Devils game informing me that the team was using our song "Rise" as their entrance/introduction music. I immediately assumed that this was a random play probably spun by the stadium DJ and really thought nothing of it. I gave my friend a return call and he explained the context in which it was used so I decided to do some investigating.
First, I posted the news on Facebook and got a bunch of responses from Jersey fans that informed me they too witnessed the same at a Devils game. It seemed that "Rise" was being used as their 2010, 2011 intro music for their "Devil's Army Rise Up!" campaign to rally the fans and team. The band and I were excited to say the least, but we were also a little shocked because no one ever reached out to the band to inform us that they were interested in using the song.

Megadeth's New Album To Have Elements of All Eras of the Band |
Broderick told Away-Team that the album contains material that recalls Peace Sells But Who's Buying, Countdown to Extinction and Endgame. "You kind of hear aspects of the whole timeline and that's why I like it so much," Broderick said.
As for the album's sonics, Broderick says the mix and mastering component absolutely sounds "huge and raw" because it was put together so quickly. "This CD came together completely differently than Endgame did. It came together really fast. It's the fastest CD I've ever been a part of to tell you the truth. From concept to finished product it was really just a lot of riffs that were written in the last two years and stuff like that brought together."

Rolling Stones Inspired New Alice Cooper Song |
"This is my tip-of-the-hat to early Rolling StonesNME. "This song was begging to be in the live show. We've done it in four different continents now and no one had ever heard it. By the second chorus, the whole audience is singing 'I'll Bite Your Face Off.' It's the perfect little three-minute hit single.". Like in 1964/65 when their songs were very Chuck Berry-orientated. They just feel so good, in the pocket," he told
Cooper went on to say that he didn't have a problem discussing the inspiration for his music. "I don't mind showing people where I get my songs from," he said. "I can guarantee there were times when major acts took an Alice Cooper song and said, 'We want it to sound like that.' Because I've heard it and recognized it. I see it as a compliment."
