The tour's promoter Bluesfest Touring broke the news to fans with the following, "Bluesfest Touring regret to inform that Gregg Allman will not be able to perform his Sydney show at the Enmore Theatre on Monday 21st April or his Melbourne show at The Forum on Wednesday 23rd April due to a severe wrist injury worsening since his arrival to Australia.
"Gregg Allman broke his wrist not long before the tour commenced and since, his injury has unexpectedly worsened leaving him in severe pain and unable to perform. Gregg will be returning to the US immediately to seek medical treatment.
"Gov't Mule, fronted by the visionary singer-guitarist Warren Haynes who has been the six- string mainstay and a vocalist for the Allman Brothers Band and Devon Allman, Gregg Allman's son who has appeared in his father's band as well as the Allman Brothers Band will be performing an extended set each.
"Ticket purchasers will be able to receive a full refund if they choose not to attend the show but these will only be available until midnight day of the performance. With any questions regarding ticketing please go to the original place of purchase.
"We apologize to Gregg Allman fans who were looking forward to his appearance. We wish Gregg Allman a fast recovery and look forward to his return to Australia."
This is the second time in a month that Allman has been prevented from performing for medical reasons. Last month, Allman was forced to miss some of the Allman Brothers Band's annual residency shows at New York's Beacon Theatre (they ultimately postponed the final shows), due to a battle with bronchitis.
Now Jones has told Classic Rock magazine that the pair are considering a new collaboration. "Lou told me a few weeks ago he's discovered a few songs we were writing in the '80s, but never quite finished," Jones said.
"We might take time next year to bring a couple of those out of the vaults It's a question of wading through them and finding a cassette machine to play them on."
Jones said that if a reunion with Gramm took place, the band's current lead singer Kelly Hansen would continue to be involved. "Kelly has dedicated everything to the band," he said. "He's phenomenal. So anything I do will be sensitive to that. If Lou and I do something, it'll be inclusive. No way will he replace Kelly."

The band had these details, "As recently mentioned, Scar The Martyr is looking for a new vocalist. Before we make a final decision, we have decided to open up submissions to the public. If you are interested, email your tryout video to [email protected]. We look forward to seeing and hearing your submissions."
Bonner left the group earlier this month. At the time, he issued the following statement to a metal website, "I'm officially parting ways with Scar The Martyr due to personal differences, artistic direction and a slew of business decisions that I cannot simply ignore. I've given it a year of my life and now it's time to move on. Many thanks to all of the fans and friends that have shown their support. Furthermore, I will continue making music in many forms as well as pursuing a new band with King (God Seed) and Jeff Friedl (A Perfect Circle). My very best wishes to Scar The Martyr and their future success."
The band then issued their own statement, claiming they dismissed Bonner. They said, "To address the recent Scar The Martyr news out there and make sure all the facts are straight, Scar The Martyr has parted ways with Henry, not the other way around. With all that's been going on of late we have been forced to take a very careful look at how we are moving forward and with there being some creative and personal differences it made sense to move on without Henry.
"We have been very focused on new Scar The Martyr material and we couldn't be more excited with how the music is coming out. We are in the process of looking for a new singer and will have news on the search very soon.
"We appreciate all the support from our fans and we can't wait to share the next phase of STM with all of you. We wish Henry best of luck going forward."
Davies, who has recovered from a 2004 stroke himself, took to Facebook to offer Young some tips on how to move forward dealing with the effects of the condition.
"Malcolm Young - never give up - and remember all the important 'tricks' you learnt and keep going over and over them in your mind," wrote Davies. "Always exercise your hands and fingers - picking coins from the floor- picking up pins from a flat surface - constantly touch the tips of your fingers with the thumb and try to do it faster and faster - image playing your best solos ever in your mind before you go to sleep-daily - Dave Davies."

Due June 10, the "Lazaretto" album is the follow-up to White's 2012 US No. 1 record, "Blunderbuss." As part of a Record Store Day promotion this past Saturday, White recorded a live version of the song and broke a world record by having it on sale to the public in just under 4 hours.
White will kick off a world tour in support of the new project on May 29th at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, OK and continue with stops throughout North America, Europe, and the United Kingdom, wrapping up with a headline slot at the Osheaga Music & Arts Festival in Montreal in early August.

"It's been a long time since I listened to all of it together as people that purchase it in that format will listen to it," Black Francis said of the new album. "I'm actually curious to hear it again as a record, because I haven't listen to it as a full record since we were putting it together over a year ago.
"But someone told me today on the phone, a journalist said that it was quite a pleasant experience hearing the full LP, all 12 songs together. He thought it was a great record."

It was already an unusual set for The Replacement since frontman Paul Westerberg was forced to spend much of the time sitting on a sofa due to back problems, according to Billboard.
Armstrong appeared on the stage early during the set and helped the band perform some of their classic tracks including 'Can't Hardly Wait,' 'Color Me Impressed,' 'Alex Chilton'.
The Green Day frontman told the excited crowd during the set, "Dreams really do come true." You can see some fan filmed footage from the show
here.
The album was recorded in Tennessee with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Deftones, Alice in Chains, Rush). And although Mastodon are known for their conceptual approach to music, this time they kept things a little more free-form. During a break in recording a few months ago, guitarist Brent Hinds told this writer, "Every time we do an album people expect to do another concept album. I'm really hoping it's not a concept album but you never know. Stranger things could happen. Who knows what could happen? Right now we're just putting the album together piece by piece and it's coming together."
It seems like the album will be typically varied from a sonic perspective too: "I'm playing a lot of slide guitar on this record, oddly enough," Hinds said. "I've always been partial to slide and I guess I use it in kind of a David Gilmour, psychedelic sense. I'm not using it in the traditional tunings or map-outs of E, but nonetheless it's screaming! It's a screaming instrument! Especially when you track a couple of tracks of slide. It's pretty awesome."

McCartney have steadily been revealing the dates for the North American leg, adding several stops to the trek last week and on Monday he announced five additional U.S. shows.
The new dates includes July shows at Chicago's United Center, Fargo's Fargodome, Lincoln, NE's Pinnacle Bank Arena and Kansas City, MO's Sprint Center and an August stop in Minneapolis at Target Field.
As things stand now, McCartney will be kicking off the North American Out There Tour on June 14th in Lubbock, TX at the United Spirit Arena and wrapping up on August 7th in Salt Lake City at EnergySolutions Arena. But his camp says that more dates are still to be announced.
The former Beatles legend kicked off the Latin American leg of the tour this weekend but was forced to postpone Monday's show at Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile after the plane carrying his equipment was delayed.
The show will now be taking place on Wednesday (April 23rd). McCartney said in a statement, "Though I'm upset that the jumbo jet carrying all my equipment for the show has gone technical and will not arrive in Santiago in time for the showI will not cancel the concert.
"I would hate to disappoint our great Chilean fans so we are moving the Monday show to Wednesday this week and looking forward to having a rocking time in Santiago."

The trio, Mike Kinsella, Steve Lamos, and Steve Holmes, will be performing at The Pygmalion Festival in Illinois on September 28th and at Webster Hall in New York City on October 11th.
The reunion shows will be launched in support of the reissue of their 1999 self-titled debut album which is being rereleased on May 20th in various formats including 2xLP, 2xCD, cassette tape, and digital.
The Deluxe Edition reissue will feature a wealth of bonus material, including an album's worth of rare live recordings, demos, and practice sessions (in which the group rehearsed material they never recorded elsewhere), according to announcement from the band.
The band's founding member and guitarist Mick Box had this to say about the album, "We are very proud of our history, but it is equally important to keep producing new material.
"This new album, Outsider, is very much a rock album in true 'Heep' style. It shows that we still have the same passion and energy for our music that we have always had."
The new album, the band's 24th studio effort, was produced by Mike Paxman (Asia, Status Quo) and features the band's new bass player Dave Rimmer, who replaced the late Trevor Bolder.
Box had this to say about his late bandmate Bolder: "We lost a world class bass player, singer, songwriter and friend. While Trevor was ill, he wanted us to continue working, so we used a bass player called Dave Rimmer, who Trevor approved of. It was only natural that Dave carried on with the band."
The band plans to launch a world tour in support of the new album.
The 3-track EP from McKinney's new electronic music project will be released digitally on May 19th via iTunes/Beatport and will include the following songs "The Resurgence," "Thoughtseize," and "Detention Sphere."
He had this to say about the project and the EP, "I'd say that this was the most interesting musical project I've ever had come to life. It was all written on flights to countries around the world for Born of Osiris tours.
Most of the EP was written traveling through Australia, off the beaches of Pattaya in Thailand, and on whatever airline or flight came in between. I would put the bulk of the songs together with headphones and my laptop.
"Then I'd come home, head to my studio, lay down all guitar tracks/live instruments and mix it! Matt Simmers handled mastering (Terravita, The Crystal Method)."
The band were filmed last month in Austin, Texas during SXSW for the show, which will debut May 4th at 8pm on DIRECTV's AUDIENCE (channel 239).
Soundgarden were in Austin to perform their 1994 breakthrough album, "Superunknown", in its entirety - for the first time ever - at the iTunes Festival on March 13. The Seattle rockers will release a 20th anniversary reissue of "Superunknown" on June 3rd.

Drummer Matt Heyward agrees, telling Radio.com, "You see it at shows, there's people of all ages, all kinds of backgrounds and everyone's just having a great time together. Guitarist/singer Russell Marsden chimes in: "Can we say 'demographics?' That's really cold, isn't it? But: if you look out and there's a lot of different people and they're really into the music."
"We're not picky about who comes to the shows," he adds. "We're thankful that anyone does!" The soft-spoken bassist/singer Emma Richardson agrees: "Bringin' people together."
Another band that was able to appeal to different subcultures was Nirvana, and it turns out they were a huge influence on Band of Skulls. Perhaps surprisingly, the album that hooked them wasn't Bleach or Nevermind or In Utero: instead it was MTV Unplugged.
"It was on video, and you could actually see the band [playing]. And you could hear the songs stripped own. That video, we all watched it and studied it," Heyward recalls. "Also, we couldn't afford electric guitars, and our school's music department didn't have electric guitars." From that, they learned "Acoustics could be cool as well."

On April 29, Lifeson and Rush will release the LP Box Set of "Rush Rediscovered", a reissue of the band's 1974 debut album to mark its 40th anniversary.
The package features the Rush debut re-mastered at Abbey Road studios by Sean McGee, who has been responsible for all recent Beatles vinyl re-masters.
