The nuptuls reportedly came as a surprise to those in attendance as they expected the event to be an “engagement party” not a wedding. A spokesperson for Britney's record label, Jive Records, confirmed that the pop star had tied the knot. "Yes, I can tell you the happy couple got married yesterday," David Frostman told Reuters. 

Of course, Spears and Federline became engaged in June, so it wasn’t as big of a surprise as Britney’s first wedding to her childhood sweet heard Jason Alexander in an impulsive ceremony in Las Vegas this past January. That union lasted 55 hours. (see story)
