Never Shout Never Acoustic Tour

11/20/2009
.
Christofer Drew, the 18-year-old singer-songwriter and guitarist who records under the name Never Shout Never, will hit the road in January for a solo acoustic tour in support of Never Shout Never's eight-song mini-album, entitled What Is Love?

The album, which was produced by Butch Walker (Weezer, Katy Perry, Pete Yorn) and recorded in both Los Angeles and London at the world-famous Abbey Road Studio, will be released by Loveway Records/Sire on January 26th, 2010. The tour begins January 13th in Little Rock, AR, and finishes up in Lawrence, KS, on January 30th. Please see below for all upcoming tour dates.

Drew will also perform a series of very special shows backed by a string quartet in December, including stops in Philadelphia, New York City, Foxboro, MA, and Hartford CT. He recently completed a headlining tour, culling tunes for his set from What Is Love?, as well as from the three EP's he released on his own Loveway Records: The Yippee EP, the Me & My Uke EP, and The Summer EP, which broke into the iTunes Top 10 Album chart in June.

On December 8th, Never Shout Never will release a new physical EP exclusively through clothing retailer Hot Topic, which features two songs from What Is Love? ("Jane Doe" and "What is Love?"), a live track ("Big City Dreams"), a b-side ("She's Got Style"), plus two music videos ("On the Brightside" and a live video of "Trouble"). Physical copies will be available for purchase exclusively at Hot Topic stores nationwide. The digital version will be available for purchase from all digital service providers on December 15th

In other Never Shout Never news, Drew took home the coveted "Breaking Woodie" Award at the MTVu Woodie Awards on November 19th, beating out Grizzly Bear, Wale, La Roux, Friendly Fires, and Passion Pit. He was also voted "Best Dressed" during the live-blogging of the event on MTV's website for his awesome Mickey Mouse sweater and rosary beads ensemble. Voted on by college students around the country, the coveted "Breaking Woodie" honors the best breakthrough artist of the year.
