Pearl Jam For The Troops
. The broadcast featured a two-way live audio and video communication between the festival and the soldiers stationed in Iraq. Soldiers serving in the 256th Infantry Brigade Combat team will not only get to experience the entire Pearl Jam performance, but interact with Festivalgoers and share a few words to their hometown friends and family from across the world. Several hundred service men and women are expected to tune-in to the broadcast. The Pearl Jam concert will be the first of four broadcasts to the troops planned for 2010. The broadcasts are meant to show the servicemen and women overseas that we are thinking of them and to give the audience stateside, a glimpse of the front lines.
