Damon Albarn Gets Carried Off Stage By Security At Festival
. According to BBC, after playing a 5-hour set with his project Africa Express, a collaboration between African and Western musicians, where he sang covers of Randy Newman songs and reinterpreted tracks from his band Gorillaz with special guests like singer Laura Mvula and Yeah Yeah Yeah's Nick Zinner the festival wanted him to call it a night. It was 4 a.m. after all. But Albarn wasn't having it. Albarn started egging on the crowd to keep things going, asking them to chant "We want more," which they did as shown in the fan shot video. As Albarn says, "If you want more, f-k that, we'll give you more." The Blur frontman even had a little fun with the fest singing "Should I Stay or Should I Go" by The Clash before being removed from the stage. Turns out, security already had the answer for him.
