Foo Fighters' Nate Mendel Streams New Solo Album

(Radio.com) Foo Fighters' Nate Mendel is streaming his debut solo album under the name Lieutenant, titled If I Kill This Thing We're All Going To Eat For A Week, in advance of the album's March 9 release. Having played with Foo Fighters since the band's inception in 1995, and indie band Sunny Day Real Estate before that, it hasn't been easy for Mendel to carve out the time to record his own personal music. "There's never a right time!" he told NME. 'Schedules are always packed. There are always other commitments. So it was important I just bit the bullet and did this. Or maybe I never would." That said, according to the bassist, his Foo Fighters bandmates have been "crazily supportive" of his solo venture.
