On Tuesday Dolly Parton Announces North American Tour was a top pop story. Here is the recap: Country music legend Dolly Parton has announced that she will be launching her biggest North American tour in over two decades this summer and has revealed most of the dates for the first leg.

The announced dates for Dolly's Pure & Simple Tour kick off on June 3rd at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C. and wrap up on June 28th at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh. Two additional dates for the tour leg are still to be announced.

Parton is embarking on the tour in support of her 'Pure & Simple' double disc greatest hits collection and she plans to perform songs on the trek that she hasn't played live in decades.
