Of Mice & Men's Austin Carlile Undergoes Surgery
.
Of Mice & Men frontman Austin Carlile revealed via Twitter posts on Friday (October 21st) that he was undergoing the first in what will be a series of surgeries. Carlile tweeted, "First of a few surgeries today! Will be doing something called blood patching, to fix the three major tears currently in my spine...base of neck/back of head, mid back between my 11 and 12 vertebrae due to a bludgeoned disc, and lower back just above tailbone! Here we go!" The surgeries come after the band was forced to cancel their European tour earlier this month due to Carlile's heath issues. He suffers from a genetic disorder called Marfan Syndrome.
