Staind’s three-week ride at the top of
the Billboard album charts will end when next weeks edition of the magazine
hits newsstands. Pop rockers Blink-182’s new CD “Take Off Your Pants and
Jacket” will debut in the no. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 200. Staind
clinched the top spot when their second major label CD, “Break the Cycle”
was released last month.
The new Blink-182 CD sold close to 350,000
units this week, beating out Staind’s sales of a little over 220,000 units.
This is the first time Blink-182 has reached the top spot on the album
charts.
Elsewhere on next week’s charts: Destiny’s
Child’s “Survivor” will show a gain of two spots landing at No. 3.
Radiohead’s “Amnesiac” will drop from No. 2 to No. 8. Jessica Simpson's
will fall six spots to land at No. 12. Sugar Ray’s new self-titled
CD will enter the charts at No. 6. Tool and Weezer round out the
Top 10 at No. 9 and 10. Also of note, nu-metal upstart’s Drowning
Pool’s debut CD, “Sinner”, will jump 9 spots to no. 72.
