With the recent passing
of the annual Grammy Awards it afforded me the opportunity to reflect on
how pointless the whole things is. It reminds me a lot of High School.
Granted I didn't hang out too much in High School, when I did show up on
campus I was usually out in the parking lot having a smoke with friends.
But I did witness enough there to see the correlation between High School
and the Grammy Awards. As a side note, I am grateful that we didn't
have to put up with Rosie O'Donnel in school. With the Grammy awards this
year we either had to put up with her or tune out, I did the later.
ok with that said lets have a look at the top 5.

personally, I feel that the grammys, MTV music awards, rolling stone, vibe, spin, and the RNR hall of fame are travesties and should all burn in the fires of hell. At least the part of hell I'm not going.

I think the Grammy's are based on a popularity contest rather than the actual musical contributions. If you have one hit song and a great look, you beat someone who had 2 or 3 much better songs becuase you are the popular one at the moment. I hate award shows.

I think the reason Rock never gets recognized is beacuase there fans think for themselves, My favorite band is Metallica, somebody down there likes Iggy Pop, and so on so forth, the Pop fans all love BSB and N'SYNC and dont give a Sh+T about anything else, they just like them cuase they think there cute or there friends like them so they think they have to like them to, unlike rock people who have divirse tastes

I think ANY award show is redudant in times like these. There is no possible way you can satisfy all of society in an hour. However, I whole heartedly agree with antiGUY, It has even progressed to the point where they cut the unpopawards being presented to facitate the hip new band and their 15 minutes of fame. If they want to do a show that is fair to all genres they should be peoples choice and conducted like an election . I mean lets face it , there are literally millions of little minions chanting for the backstreet boys and britney so you must be at least 16 years of age to vote. Anyhow I wont be conducting it so figure it from there. I have yet to see my man Iggy POP take anything from those people so why not lay it alone. long live the apathy club
