Blake Shelton Accused Of Providing False Testimony

(Radio.com) There is a new development in Blake Shelton's defamation lawsuit against Bauer Publishing and In Touch magazine. Shelton is suing the magazine for a September cover story that alleged his drinking led to his divorce from Miranda Lambert and that he was headed to rehab.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bauer has accused Shelton of providing false testimony in reference to a trip to Cancun, Mexico. "Shelton resorts to apparent false testimony," states a memorandum on behalf of the plaintiff.

"He declares that the Article's depiction of his Mexico trip was 'fabricated,' because the 'partying' described at the Hotel ME Melia in Cancun could not have occurred as during his trip he 'did not stay at the hotel ME Melia Cancun or visit it.' Yet, indisputable photographic evidence places Shelton at that very hotel and with the blonde guest described in the Article." Read the Shelton camp's response here.

Keith Urban Streaming New Single 'Wasted Time'

"I worked with a lot of new people on RipCORD, and Greg was one I'd wanted to work with for a long time," Urban says in a press release. "He'd been writing a lot with J., and so the three of us spent a couple days at Greg's studio to jam and see if we clicked.

Drake Channels Rihanna, Jackson Browne On New Songs

(Radio.com) From the sounds of it, Rihanna appears to have quite the influence on Drake. Even though she denied rumors they were dating, one of two new Drake tracks that surfaced reveals a definite island influence to his music.

"Controlla" (feat. Popcaan) sounds like a sister song to Rihanna's "Work," both in terms of beat and melody. On the song, Drake sings about how much he cares for a girl, going so far as to take more control in the bedroom because she asks. Popcaan adds an auto tuned reggae feel in between Drake's verses.

On the other end of specturm, Drake covered the Jackson Browne classic "These Days." According to Pitchfork, "These Days" is for a cover album and won't end up on Drake's latest project. Read more here.

Frank Ocean Producer Talks Delayed New Album

(Radio.com) Frank Ocean has still not released the highly anticipated follow up to his debut album Channel Orange. The project was reportedly called Boys Don't Cry and was slated for release in July of 2015, but then nothing happened, and nothing was explained.

In a new interview with Pitchfork, producer James Ryan Ho, better know as Malay, discussed the long awaited project. "A lot of the stuff on this new album was done with a handheld mic sitting in the control room," said Malay.

"Frank's exploring different vibes completely on this album. I wouldn't say it's vocally looser but just his mentality; it doesn't seem as meticulous at certain times."

When pressed about a release date, Malay is optimistic. Read more here.

Dierks Bentley Reveals Details For New Album 'Black'

(Radio.com) Dierks Bentley is mere days away from co-hosting the 2016 ACM Awards with Luke Bryan, but that doesn't mean the country artist is slowing down when it comes to his own projects. Bentley announced he'll be releasing his 8th studio album Black on May 27th.

Named after his wife Cassidy's last name, the 13-track album will feature big names like Elle King, Trombone Shorty and Maren Morris. Based on the album's title, it makes sense that it would deal with the couple's relationship. Bentley explained, 'It's a relationship album that covers the ups and downs of the journey and ends with some self-realization and evolvement."

Detailing how individual songs cover his emotional journal, Bentley said, "The song 'Black' helps set all of that in motion at the top of the album by guiding you into the darkness and the shadows of the night. The same guy who sings 'Somewhere On A Beach' winds up growing and having enough perspective to sing something introspective like 'Different for Girls.' By the last song, he's taking a look back on love and life."Check out the track and guest list here.

Justin Timberlake's New Project Keeps People Guessing

(Radio.com) By now it's clear Justin Timberlake is working on something. While it could be music for the Trolls movie, in which he's both acting and serving as executive music producer, chances seem equally likely that he's back in the studio at work on his next album. Let's go over the evidence.

The most recent proof came late Monday, March 28th, when Timberlake posted yet another behind the scenes photo in the studio. This one reveals him at work with Timbaland. Like many of his other Instagram posts from the studio, he simply captioned the shot, "Currently."

It's not the first image to emerge of the two collaborating together in the studio. Timbaland shared a photo on Instagram showing him working with Timberlake on the same day Timberlake posted a photo with Pharrell.

It seemed thanks to Timbaland and Pharrell that Timberlake was following his own pop footsteps, but then he revealed a pic with Little Big Town in the studio, which got some thinking he could be going country, or at least a pop-country hybrid. Read more here.

Fetty Wap Streaming New Track 'Zoovie Zoo'

(Radio.com) Fetty Wap warns all listeners who might have ignored his sleeper hit "Trap Queen" not to treat his new track "Zoovie Zoo" the same way. The New Jersey rapper posted the track to his SoundCloud account, and it's full of bluster and bravado.

Set against a relaxed beat with bells to accentuate the rhythm, the track features Fetty Wap rapping about how great he is, and all the wonderful things-money, cars, women-that have come his way as a result.

It's a big, boastful song, but he also uses it as a reminder that he's capable of great music and listeners shouldn't overlook his skills. On the track, he raps about his original hit "Trap Queen." "Them hoes was like, 'He singing this sh-'/'Or is it Auto-Tune or is he really singing this sh-?'" he raps, describing his unique voice that combines melody with written verse (via Rolling Stone).

He even tweeted a similar message shortly before releasing "Zoovie Zoo." Lesson learned: Don't put Fetty Wap in the corner. See the tweet and stream the track here.
