Melvins Update
punkbands reports: After numerous changes, Melvins have finally solified a new lineup by enlisting the aid of Hydrahead act, Big Business. That band released Head for the Shallow last year and the addition of the two piece gives the Melvins a new bassist and two drummers.

Current drummer Dale Crover had this to say about the unusual setup to Billboard:

He's left handed, so we want to do this 'mirror image' type of thing. We've kind of fused our two drum sets together, and we're going to try and do some crazy thing with it. We're sharing these big toms in between us The band hopes to begin working on a new studio full length in the next year, but are planning a live CD which documents a recent performance of the entirety of their 1993 release, Houdini. Red Chord Drumless
siN's metal news reports: THE RED CHORD have released the following statement about how you can be their new drummer: "Just when you thought we'd keep the same five guys in our band for more than six months, think again. We have switched out drummers. We'll chock it all up to personal issues and irreconcilable differences... best of luck in future ventures... long and happy life... yadda yadda yadda. But, everything is going 100% on schedule. We're still doing all of our upcoming tour dates and we have some really big tours to announce in the near future. Our long time friend, Kevin Talley (ex-CHIMAIRA, MISERY INDEX) will be joining us on our upcoming tour with THROWDOWN. It's about time we finally jammed together and we're looking forward to seeing how it all goes.

In the meantime, if you're a drummer and wish to try out.. see the full story for details- Click Here for the Full Story

Pink Spiders Preview
Fanscape reports: Geffen Recording artist The Pink Spiders release their debut single "Little Razorblade," from their first major label release Teenage Graffiti, due out in spring of 2006. Hailing from Nashville, The Pink Spiders was born in the summer of 2003. The band draws inspiration from the dance scene, soul music, and 70's punk rock to form their unique and unmistakably catchy sound. The Pink Spiders' self-produced and distributed EP, The Pink Spiders Are Taking Over!, was released January 2004 and received critical acclaim. The EP caught the attention of CI Records who sent the band into the studio to record their debut full length Hot Pink, which hit stores in January 2005, with a sound reminiscent of Elvis Costello, The Clash, The Beach Boys, and the Who. Three months later, The Pink Spiders signed with Geffen Records, and headed back to the studio to record their second full length album, Teenage Graffiti, set for release in spring of 2006, which features the undeniably poppy debut single "Little Razorblade."
