Vital
Remains Too Evil |
SMN reports: Scheduled to kick off their East
Coast tour tomorrow, Sept. 30, in Bedford, NH with DISMEMBER, GRAVE, DEMIRICOUS,
WITHERED - VITAL REMAINS was notified yesterday that they were not welcome
to perform at the first show. Vital's guitarist, Tony Lazaro states, "We
were scheduled to play with Grave and Dismember up at Mark's Place in Bedford,
NH but the promoter booted us from the show. He said since we are affiliated'
with the evil' Glen Benton that he wanted nothing to do with us. I guess
he had heard what happened at the Deicide show in TX, heard he sang for
us on our last record and is gonna sing for us on this next one and was
worried that, I don't know, we'd be sacrificing children of something.
We told him that Glen wasn't even going to be on this tour with us. I think
he's sitting home in FL right now ready to go out on the road with Deicide.
The guy didn't even care. We are guilty by association! [see full story

White Fraud |
sleazeroxx.com reports: It has come to our
attention that there are some unscrupulous individuals selling Great White
shows who have no connection to Great White. They book the show, collect
the deposit money and skip town, shutting down communication lines with
the club and basically disappearing. For the record Great White has no
association with David Wilson, Bill Cantor, Michael Robynsen, Bobby Jenks
Management or John Byrnes Management. Furthermore, Great White's agent
is NOT located in Chicago or New York. [see full story for more]-

Skies
Of America Debut |
PR reports: Tired of the L.A. rat race, renowned
rock producer and engineer Sylvia Massy whose massive resume includes
Tool, System of a Down, Powerman 5000, Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers
and Aerosmith--built her state-of-the-art RadioStar Studios and started
her new indie label National Recorder in the charming Northern California
town of Weed, within view of the majestic Mount Shasta.
While her growing roster boasts cutting
edge artists from all over the world, it's ironic that she's launching
National Recorder with the debut album from The Skies Of America, a popular
Los Angeles based band driven by the vision of singer/songwriter Rob Bonfiglio.
The group's infectious debut single "Shine"also the album's title track--is
currently being promoted aggressively to Triple AAA and college radio,
and is already receiving airplay in cities from New Haven, Connecticut
to Seattle, Tacoma and Portland. The album officially drops on October

Futureheads
Nix Tour |
PR reports: We regret to have to inform you
that The Futureheads upcoming US tour has been cancelled. "It is with great
sadness that I must tell you we have had to cancel our forthcoming US Tour,
due to the development of Tendonitis in Barry's left wrist. He has been
advised to rest and, as far as we can see, there is no way of us being
able to make those shows work, given the state of his wrist. We are all
deeply disappointed at having to pull the shows at such a latestage, but
there is no way around it for us. Apologies to the people with tickets
- we promise to get out to the US at the next available opportunity. The
UK tour will not be affected by this given that there are some months progress
toward recovery, and only rest will enable that. Thanks for your understanding"

Wendy
O. Williams DVD |
MVD reports: MVD Visual by exclusive arrangement
with Pandemonium Merchandising is pleased to announce the home viewing
release of Wendy O. Williams & The Plasmatics - 10 Years Of Revolutionary
Rock & Roll for North American distribution on DVD November 21, 2006.
In the words of Chris Knowles of Classic
Rock Magazine, they were "THE RAMONES TIMES TEN. THE CLASH TIMES TEN. THE
SEX PISTOLS TIMES TEN." Banned in London, busted in Cleveland and Milwaukee,
the legendary Wendy O. Williams (aka "Queen of Shock Rock", "Queen of Punk,"
"Dominatrix of the Decibels", and "High Priestess of Metal") and the Plasmatics,
the band of changing musicians built around her, revolutionized American
culture and music creating a seismic shock wave still being felt today.
"Way more than a rock band," as John Levy said in a recent interview on
VH1, Wendy O. Williams and the Plasmatics "were a phenomenon." They introduced
the mohawk to mass American culture, fused punk and metal when these groups
despised each other and produced stage shows which included the chainsawing
of guitars and the blowing up of full size cars that Roman Kozak of Billboard
called "The absolute limit of what can be accomplished in rock and roll
theatrics" and have yet to be equalled today. - Click

Los
Amigos Invisible |
PR reports: Known as one of the most inventive
live bands in the dance/electronica and Latin music scene in the United
States, LOS AMIGOS INVISIBLES are proud musical ambassadors for their native
Venezuela. The band routinely performs to sold-out audiences in New York
(where they reside), Los Angeles, Miami and elsewhere, and performed at
both Coachella and Lollapalooza in 2006. Super Pop Venezuela, the band's
fifth release, is an homage to the Venezuelan artists and songs that have
most influenced the double Latin Grammy nominees as musicians and music
fans. Produced by famed DJ Dimitri From Paris, the album finds the band
bringing their distinctive sound to reverential and decidedly fun interpretations
of Venezuelan songs that "provided the soundtrack to our adolescence and
early adult life," explains guitarist José Luis Pardo.[see full
