The Arrest Of Division Day
thetripwire reports: During their first night in Spokane, WA, the band ended up at a nearby bar after their set. Drummer Kevin Lenhart and bass/vox/guitarist Seb Bailey met up with two friends, and had a few. Discussing the topic of scars, one friend mentioned they'd avoided a nasty bike accident with a car not far from where they were. Checking out the area, they passed the old Fox Theater, which looked abandoned from the outside. With its tempting holes in the fence, they wandered in to the open fire escape to see if the building's insides lived up to its external invitation. Not even two minutes in, five police vehicles circled the building. Carrying nothing but their wallets and keys, Seb and one of his friends went outside to find out what was happening, and they were quickly told to get down and put their faces on the pavement! Moments later, Kevin and the other friend emerged, uncertain of what was going on. They were thrown in squad cars, and both Division Day members were placed in an awkward overnight cell when they finally made it to the police station.

Kevin and Seb were immediately booked on charges of second-degree burglary - which actually requires the intent to commit a crime against person or property - thrown in jail, and held until late the next evening. Missing the second show on their tour, until they were both greeted with an abundance of apologies from the cops. No one seemed to understand why they were overcharged, but they were let off with a trespassing ticket that has since been dropped.[thier bad luck didn't stop there... see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Lyrics Born Live!
PR reports: Bay Area's notorious party-starting MC Lyrics Born is releasing Overnite Encore: Lyrics Born LIVE! on October 31, 2006, featuring over an hour's worth of live LB plus three juicy brand new tracks. Lyrics Born's live set-up features his backing 4-piece band and Quannum chanteuse Joyo Velarde. Combining an infectious bass line, a boom bap drum pattern, pulsating keys and Latin-infused guitar riffs, the band nails the LB productions and sets the platform for his voice to soar over - a voice that's easily one of the best and most distinctive flows in the business. Over the past year Lyrics Born rocked crowds at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonaroo, Langerado and Vegoose. The Live album combines live sets from Melbourne and Sydney in late 2005 plus two new studio tracks and a new remix (guests include Mistah F.A.B., The Gift of Gab, Trackademicks, Del The Funky Homosapien, Zion-I, Pigeon John & more...) - Click Here for the Full Story

Warm In The Wake Debut
PR reports: Livewire Recordings is gearing up for the release of "Gold Dust Trail," the debut from the most recent addition to the Livewire roster, WARM IN THE WAKE. The 7-song EP will be released on January 30, 2007.

Warm In The Wake is considered one of the most versatile bands on the Atlanta music scene. Known for their tight, compelling performances, their music blends slow-core, acoustic, psychedelia, and a hint of Americana, creating a mood as much as a unique sound. The band is comprised of former Alabamians Christopher Rowell (vocals, guitar, bass), James Taylor Jr. (drums) and brothers Daniel Barker (keyboards) and Andy Barker (bass), who all now call Atlanta home.- Click Here for the Full Story

The End for Tub Ring
The End reports: Chicago's spazzed-out, high-energy rock ensemble TUB RING has signed to THE END RECORDS. The band will release their yet-untitled debut album for the label sometime in early 2007.

The band - who has always been an unpredictable and errant rock band when it comes to the music they create -- cater to no one when it comes to their music. Not even themselves. Since their inception in 2001, Tub Ring has been a force of nature in the left-of-center world of music. Their debut album Drake Equation (produced by Mr. Bungle's Trey Spruance) helped showcase their musical makeup as a tornado of genres, mixing punk, classical, surf, a-capella, hard-core, pop, and whatever else crossed their path into one cohesive blend of rock.- Click Here for the Full Story

LCD Nike
PR reports: From Nike, the world's leading sports brand, comes an exclusive release by America's premiere electronic maestro James Murphy, a/k/a multi-Grammy-nominated artist LCD Soundsystem. 45:33: Nike+ Original Run is an original musical composition only available through iTunes -- part of a continuing series of releases through the "Nike Sport Music" section of the store. 45:33: Nike+ Original Run is a unique album written specifically for runners, but its allure extends to all music fans. Murphy explains, "This appealed to me because it was so anathematic to what you're typically asked to do as an artist: make easily digestible lumps of music for albums, or the radio, or whatever. I'd been thinking of the records I love in which people made one "song" that took up the entire LP and realizing that releasing something like this would otherwise be a virtually impossibility for me, I became excited when the Nike+ project came along."
