Wolfgang Van Halen says that his experience while a member of Van Halen taught him things that did not want to "carry over into" his solo band Mammoth WVH.

He made the comments during a new interview with The Messenger after he was asked what he learned from performing with Guns N' Roses and Metallica and his friendship with Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl. (continue)

Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley has announced a number of live dates that he will be playing this year to promote his forthcoming solo album, "10,000 Volts".

Third Eye Blind have announced the fourth edition of the Summer Gods Tour that will include Yellowcard and A R I Z O N A and visit cities across the United States this summer.

Thursday and Velocity Records have announced the pre-orders for the upcoming vinyl re-press of the band's classic, 2003-released album War All The Time Live via the label's webstore.

Pre-orders for multiple color vinyl variants in extremely limited quantities, as well as a limited edition CD version of the album, are available here. Initially released on vinyl and digital formats on June 30, 2022, War All The Time Live has been out-of-print and unavailable on vinyl since it first dropped. The second phase of the acclaimed Can Live series, Can Live in Paris 1973 has been announced today, set for release on vinyl, CD and digitally on February 23, 2024 via Mute and Future Days (the new EU label created by Spoon Records).

Live in Paris 1973 finds Can in magical form for a performance recorded at L'Olympia in Paris on May 12, 1973, marking the first of the live series to feature Damo Suzuki on vocals. From '70-'73 the core line up of Irmin Schmidt, Jaki Liebezeit, Michael Karoli, and Holger Czukay were joined by Japanese improviser and vocalist Suzuki. They met after a chance encounter while Suzuki was busking in Munich and several months after the Paris 1973 performance his wanderlust would take him back on the road. (continue)
