Chevelle are back with their first new music in four years. Today, the band has dropped the video for the new single "Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)."
It's a gnarly, riffy rager with more hooks than a tackle box and alternately snarling and melodic vocals. Push and pull tension define the song, which leads to thrilling, dissonant breakdown at the end of the song. Put simply, it was worth the wait. (continue)
Mob Rules have shared a music video for their new song "Back To Savage Land". The track comes from their group's forthcoming album "Rise Of The Ruler", which will arrive on August 22, 2025. ALL NOIR sent over the following details:
The follow-up to 2018's successful album "Beast Reborn" (which reached a sensational #37 in the German and #59 in the Swiss album charts) is not only a work brimming with creativity, wit and quality, but also the conceptual continuation of their two early albums "Savage Land" (1999) and "Temple Of Two Suns" (2000), with which MOB RULES laid the foundation for their career. Both albums are linked by an exciting concept story about life in a dystopian, hostile end-time world in which resources are becoming scarce. This is exactly where the band's new offering "Rise Of The Ruler" comes in and keyboardist Jan Christian Halfbrodt (who is responsible for all the lyrics) continues the thread. (continue)

The first and last albums of the original band, the twin pillars of the 1978 debut Van Halen and then 1984, have always garnered so much attention (and deservedly so) that we have tended to ignore Women and Children First and its successor, Fair Warning, as musical flyover states. Ambient rocker Katerina Nicole just shared a video of an acoustic performance of her track "Emotionally" from her new EP "Serene in Violent Oceans", and to celebrate we asked her to tell us about the song and the new unplugged rendition. Here is the story:
My latest single, "Emotionally," represents the most profound moment in my EP, "Serene in Violent Oceans." It captures the essence of navigating the creative process while grappling with deep despair and the challenge of finding a way out. Throughout its creation, I engaged in significant self-reflection, revisiting difficult experiences from my childhood and young adulthood. I confronted both self-inflicted wounds and instances where I placed my trust in others without justification. Society often teaches women to be kind, reserved, and accommodating, and I learned some tough lessons along that path. It wasn't until recently that I decided to take a stand, realizing that this approach was no longer serving me. The lyrics of "Emotionally," particularly "I'm cutting my way through this," resonate deeply with me even as I write these words. There is much unlearning ahead of me. (continue)
