During that incident Simmons told a lot attendant he was a federal officer and later admitted to being under the influence of valium at the time.
Simmons was also arrested last December in upstate New York when a traffic officer stopped him for going 104 miles per hour in a 65 miler per hour zone.
Police arrested and charged Simmons for driving on a suspended license following this latest accident Friday night. He was later released.
