(Filter) Jim James from My Morning Jacket is a big fan of The SLIP, so it's no surprise this avant-rock trio from Boston (via Montreal) will be opening for MMJ on upcoming tourdates, as well as setting off on their own national tour with The Lovely Feathers. Their new album, EISENHOWER, is being released this week on Bar/None Records and you can hear the album in its entirety this week in The Booth [see full story link]

The album was co-produced by Matthew Ellard (Elliott Smith, Billy Bragg & Wilco), with engineering by Drew Malamud (Stars, Metric, The Dears.) To coincide with the release, the band will be touring all over North America with My Morning Jacket, The Lovely Feathers, Bon Savants, Land of Talk and Kill The Lights.
