(antiMusic) Founding Specials member Jerry Dammers has hit out at his bandmates' reunion next year. Dammers, who is not touring as part of the band's 30th anniversary shows, has issued a statement today (December 10) in which he claims he has been "driven out" by the rest of the group. The keyboard player also took issue with frontman Terry Hall, who recently told NME.COM that "the door remains open" to his bandmate. more

Testament will be taking over the airwaves on MTV2's Headbangers Ball this Saturday, December 13. Along with their brand-new video for "More Than Meets The Eye," HBB will also be airing never-before-seen footage from the band's shoot at Alcatraz in San Francisco. "More Than Meets The Eye" was produced by Kevin Custer (Kingdom of Sorrow, Beneath The Massacre). Six Testament art pieces, performances, and videos will be intertwined with all the videos that air on Headbangers Ball, which airs Saturday night at 2AM Eastern / 1AM Central.

Static-X has set "Cu1t of Static" as the title of its sixth studio album, due on March 17, 2009 via Reprise Records. The CD will include a new version of the song "Lunatic" featuring a guest guitar solo by Megadeth mainman Dave Mustaine. A national tour in support the album will commence in early April.

Lambgoat is reporting that Turmoil has found a replacement for singer Jon Gula, who parted ways with the band this past summer. Now joining the group is Nate Johnson, whom you're likely familiar with.
