(antiMusic) SuicideGirls managing editor Erin Broadley sat down with Slash and his best friend Marc Canter at legendary rock and roll hang out Canter's Deli in Hollywood to talk about Canter's new book "Reckless Road" which documents the rise of Guns N' Roses and the making of the band's groundbreaking 1987 album, "Appetite for Destruction."

This was the first-ever joint interview the two have ever done and, in addition to the print interview, they also shot a couple videos which are posted along with the interview transcript. There are some great stories in the interview including Slash's first meeting with Axl.

For those unfamiliar with Canter, Erin had this in the intro to the interview: Mark Canter unknowingly began to document the rise of the greatest rock band of its time: Guns N' Roses. Over twenty years in the making, Marc's new book, Reckless Road: Guns N' Roses and the Making of Appetite for Destruction, is a collection of exclusive interviews, rare photographs and original memorabilia including show flyers, magazine articles, ticket stubs, set lists, and hand-scrawled song lyrics. From the band's first gig at the Troubadour in 1985, to signing with Geffen Records, to being dubbed "The Most Dangerous Band in the World," Marc Canter was there, up close and personal, camera and tape recorder in hand. - Go read the full interview and watch the videos here.
