Ringo's Childhood Home Not Worth Saving

(Gibson) English Heritage, who recently placed a preservation order on the pedestrian crossing at Abbey Road, have decided that Ringo Starr's childhood home in Liverpool is not worth saving.

According to the Daily Express, the house at 9 Madryn Street, Liverpool, is still threatened with demolition.

A spokesman for Save Britain's Heritage told architecture website BDOnline: "How is it possible to argue that [the] birthplace of Ringo Starr is less important than the Abbey Road crossing? Madryn Street, which Ringo frequently refers to in his own writings and lyrics, draws in thousands of visitors from across the globe. more on this story
