The Parlotones To Take Park in FIFA World Cup Kickoff Concert
. The concert is will be broadcast live on Friday, June 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. The three-hour concert, considered the biggest entertainment event to date in South Africa, celebrates the arrival of the first-ever FIFA World Cup on the African continent and will take place at 30,000-seat Orlando Stadium in Soweto, Johannesburg. Alicia Keys, the Black Eyed Peas, John Legend, Shakira and Juanes will perform alongside, and in collaboration with, popular African artists. The concert lineup also features popular African performers including Amadou & Mariam, Ang�lique Kidjo, BLK JKS, K'Naan, Lira, Mzansi Youth Choir, The Parlotones, Tinariwen, Vieux Farka Tour� and Vusi Mahlasela. The multiplatinum rock band have spent the last 18 months on a 300 date, sold out world tour. They have recently released the single "Push Me To The Floor" in the states [with a video coming June 22nd], and have scheduled the release of the Stardust Galaxies album for September.
