Here is a look back at the top Day in Rock stories from this past week. We kick off with the battle over Sabbath: A Manhattan federal judge ruled Thursday (February 25) that Ozzy Osbourne can proceed with his lawsuit against guitarist Tony Iommi over use of the Black Sabbath name. more

Bret Michaels says he has nothin' to apologize for about "Nothin' to Lose," his new song featuring Miley Cyrus. The song caused a bit of controversy with the teen pop queen singing about "slowly get undressed." Now the 46 year-old Poison "rocker" defends the lyric in an interview with US Magazine: "the part where it says she slowly gets undressed, Miley says, 'Yeah she does.' It has no reference to her and I. It's not even a duet... As God is my witness, there is nothing I have to be defensive about," he says. "I'm a good Dad. I just thought it was a beautiful song. "

Metallica fans in Israel had been boycotting the band's upcoming concert in the country due to ridiculously high ticket prices. It seems now however, that the boycott has proven a success, as a post on the boycott's Facebook group reads: "Friends, I'm shaking with excitement as I'm writing this. After a 4 day campaign, tens of news items about us worldwide, over 6000 supporters and numerous media interviews we can say that we did it! We won!" more

TMD has unearthed another one of the earliest Metallica demo tracks ever. It is a recording of Diamond Head's "Sucking My Love", featuring Dave Mustaine on guitar, Ron McGovney on bass, Lars Ulrich on drums and James Hetfield on vocals. more

Iron Maiden have revealed the title of their new album, The Final Frontier and details of their highly anticipated 2010 North American tour. With 22 dates confirmed, the Live Nation promoted tour will open in Dallas, Texas, on June 9 more
