Iron Maiden Win First Grammy

(Rock News Desk) Iron Maiden have won a Grammy for lead track El Dorado from their fifteenth studio album The Final Frontier, while Muse have won Best Rock Album for The Resistance.

The six-piece NWOBHM icons were awarded the gong for Best Metal Performance at the 53rd edition of the ceremony at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles last night. Maiden were up against Korn, Lamb of God, Megadeth and Slayer in the category.

It's the band's first Grammy after having been nominated twice in the past, for Fear of the Dark in 1994 and The Wicker Man in 2001. more on this story
