Dave Grohl's Sound City Theatrical Release Announced

. (hennemusic) Dave Grohl has announced a series of one-night only theatrical screenings for his directorial debut, "Sound City."

The project, which chronicles the story of the Van Nuys, California studio of the same name, will hit theaters starting January 31.

Sound City is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 18. The same night, Grohl is putting on a live show featuring collection of musicians who perform on the film's soundtrack. more on this story
