(Radio.com) To hear Stephen Colbert tell it, Paul McCartney is a pretty talented artist just looking for a break and of course, Colbert is ready to give it to him. In a press release announcing the budding singer-songwriter's appearance on his show, Colbert said, "I think this McCartney kid's got something special and I'm gonna put him on the map!"

Seriously, though. The former Beatle will appear on a special one-hour episode of The Colbert Report on Wednesday, June 12 from 11:30 p.m. 12:30 a.m. ET/PT.

The "super-sized" show will feature an interview, as well as performances of songs featured on McCartney's current Out There Tour, the new 2013 reissue of Wings Over America, "and more" (according to the press release), with one song to be exclusively available at Colbert's website after the fact.

McCartney first appeared on "The Colbert Report" on January 28, 2009 in an interview for a "Better Know a Beatle" segment, here.
