The series, which follows the chaos in the life of lead character Walter White who he turned to manufacturing meth to raise money for his family after he was diagnosed with cancer, saw a doubling in rating for the second part of its final season which began airing last month.

The Emmy Award for Best Drama caught the show's creator, Vince Gilligan by surprise. He said, "Holy crap! I did not see this coming," as he accepted the award on Sunday night.

Anna Gunn, who plays Walter White's wife Skyler White on the show, took home the Emmy for Supporting Actress In A Drama Series. Here is the list of winners (and nominees):
