Billy Idol Releasing First New Album In Almost A Decade

. Billy Idol fans will have two things to celebrate in Rocktober as Idol has announced that he will be releasing his first new studio album in almost a decade in October along with his previously announced autobiography.

The new album was produced by Trevor Horn (Yes, Rod Stewart, Seal, John Legend, Pet Shop Boys, Belle & Sebastian, Tina Turner, Hanz Zimmer, LeAnn Rimes, Simple Minds) and is Idol's first new studio album since 2005's "Devil's Playground."

The Idol camp did not announce a firm release date, but said in the announcement that the album would arrive around the October 7th release date for Idol's autobiography, Dancing With Myself.

Fans should get their first taste of the new music in late summer and Idol also expects to continue on the road into next year. He is currently on a European tour.
