Gregg Allman Announces Summer Tour
. (hennemusic) Gregg Allman has announced dates for a summer tour that include the previously announced coheadlining dates with the Doobie Brothers. News of the summer tour comes as Allman launched his spring US tour this past week. The Allman Brothers legend kicks off the tour with an appearance at the Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga, TN, on June 12 and wind up in Saratoga Springs, NY on September 4. The final leg of the tour includes the coheadlining shows with The Doobie Brothers. The summer trek include a pair of European shows: an Amsterdam date on July 24 and a performance at the Ramblin' Man Fair in Maidstone Kent, UK on July 26. Allman's touring band has been receiving raves from around the world, and features guitarist Scott Sharrard, Peter Levin on keys, drummer Steve Potts, percussionist Marc Quinones, Ron Johnson on bass and horn players Jay Collins, Art Edmaiston and Marc Franklin.
