Jay Z Tells People To Stop Killing Each Other Following Chinx's Death
. While performing some of his lesser played hits in support of TIDAL at Terminal 5, Jay Z addressed the shooting death of the 31-year-old Queens, NY rapper Lionel 'Chinx" Pickens, a member of French Montana's Coke Boys, who, according to CBS New York, was shot eight or more times earlier the same day while sitting in the passenger's seat of his car. The driver of the car was also shot and is currently in critical condition. "[A] young man got killed in Queens named Chinx," he told the crowd, before saying, "We are seriously under attack like never before. Rest in peace to Chinx. And we still killing each other. We need to understand that we are kings and queens." Jay was also reported as saying, "People left the hood, they don't wanna go back. No, people go back to the hood and get killed." Read more here.
