(Radio.com) As a result of the deaths of two teenagers, Tracy Nguyen and Katie Dix, at the HARD Summer festival in August, the L.A. County Board of Supervisors announced the formation of an 'Electronic Music Task Force."

According to Billboard, the committee will provide insight on ways to make electronic music festivals safer for fans. After the HARD Summer festival, which took place at the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif., L.A. County Mayor Michael Antonovich and L.A. County Supervisor Hilda Solis initially sought to ban all EDM festivals from Los Angeles county.

While the ban is still a possibility, a task force was created to focus on the safety of fans at all L.A.-based music festivals. Read the motion filed on Sept. 1 here.

Billboard reports the task force will "Develop recommendations for enforceable health and safety measures and procedures, that would be required for all electronic music festivals on County-owned property." Read more here.
