Quincy Jones Apologizes for Shocking Interview Comments

(Radio.com) Quincy Jones is sorry. The legendary producer has issued a formal apology in the aftermath of two recent bombshell interviews with GQ and Vulture where he made a host of shocking allegations ranging from Marlon Brando's sex life to Michael Jackson's artistic process.

Jones has revealed that it took a "family intervention" from his kids (including Parks and Rec star Rashida Jones) for him to understand that he may have taken things a tad too far with what he terms his "wordvomit."

"Let me tell you, I am so grateful for my daughters because they are not afraid to stand up to their daddy. I am an imperfect human & I'm not afraid to say it. I'm sorry & I'm not afraid to say it," Jones shared on Twitter.

"Even at 85, it's apparent that 'wordvomit' and bad-mouthing is inexcusable," Jones added, making it clear that he hasn't had a drink in three years. "When you live a public life you have a responsibility to be an example & since I do live a public life I wanted to make a public apology. I am sorry to anyone to whom my words offended & I'm especially sorry to my friends who are still here with me & to those who aren't." Read more here.

Aaron Carter Discusses Rehab And What's Next

(Radio.com) Last year was pretty tumultuous for Aaron Carter. He lost his father to a heart attack in May, came out as bisexual, ended a relationship and was arrested for DUI and marijuana possession.

As concern for Carter mounted, he checked into treatment for his "mental and physical health." In a new interview with People, the singer opened up about hitting rock bottom and finding musical inspiration in recovery.

'I definitely felt like I hit a rock bottom personally and emotionally," Carter said. 'I started getting really stressed out about things like my relationship or the expectations people had for me, and then I just stopped eating. That's when I thought 'This is a time for me to really go take some time and do some self-healing.'"

Following treatment, Aaron had a new lease on life. 'It's amazing to see what happened when I just took some time off for myself, looked around and found ways to appreciate life," he said. 'I've seen a huge change in myself and my attitude and my demeanor and my morale. It's beautiful."

Nevertheless, Carter shot down rumors that he was treated for drug addiction: 'I've never even touched any of those drugs," he said. 'It's just not a part of who I am. People trying to paint this picture, it's just really defaming. It hurts. They would never talk to me like that in person." Read more here.

The Weeknd Saved Oprah at Ellen's 60th Birthday Party

(Radio.com) Needless to say, life is really good for Oprah Winfrey. All of the fame and fortune in the world, however, doesn't really help when you find yourself in a room full of relative strangers at a friend's birthday party.

Such was the case when Oprah hit up Ellen DeGeneres' recent 60th birthday bash, where a handsome stranger kept approaching her to talk. "Gayle (King) goes, 'You're talking to the Weeknd,'" Oprah revealed to Degeneres on her show today (Feb. 22).

"Oh, that's the Weeknd?!," Oprah recalled of the moment. "He cut his hair and he's wearing a baseball cap." Once she realized that she was kicking it with the Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye), another not-quite-familiar face joined the conversation. Luckily Tesfaye recognized the third party.

"I'm thinking, I know it's somebody. Who is it? Is it Justin Timberlake?" Oprah explained of the new partygoer in their circle. "So the Weekend says to him, 'Hey man, I really loved that film you did.' And he said, 'No, that wasn't a good film for me. It wasn't my favorite film.' So I go, 'What was your favorite film?' He says, 'The Aviator.' And I go, 'Leonardo, you're so funny,'" she laughed, having realized that she was talking to Leonardo DiCaprio.

It was just one anecdote from DeGeneres' big 60th birthday party, which according to Oprah was the most fun she's had in her entire life. Watch the very funny clip of Oprah recalling her night at Ellen's party, and check out a photo of the fateful moment here.

Kesha Releases 'Praying' and 'We R Who We R' Live Videos

(Radio.com) Kesha has shared two songs from her Nov. 1 concert at the Hollywood Palladium, "Praying" and "We R Who We R." The move is a consolation prize of sorts for fans overseas that will miss the 11 shows she postponed on her Rainbow Tour earlier this week after she suffered an ACL injury.

"Praying" is especially majestic and emotional. Kesha's strong vocals and the crowd's sing-along resonate over the plaintive piano chords before the drums, bass and background vocals enter the mix. Although the song is about overcoming a broken relationship it feels especially appropriate as a message of hope following the recent high school shooting in Parkland, Florida that killed 17 people.

"We R Who We R" is more of a rallying cry to celebrate individuality, and the crowd reacts with enthusiasm to the uptempo anti-discrimination tune. Kesha has not yet rescheduled the March and April dates she canceled, however, her 30-city co-headlining tour with Macklemore is still slated to launch June 6 in Phoenix, Arizona. Watch the videos here.
