Miley Cyrus has fallen for another leading man after photographers caught her in the arms of her So Undercover co-star Josh Bowman. more (Billboard) Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie took some heat for her group's Super Bowl halftime show Sunday (one critic wrote "the group appeared to be as stiff as frontman will.i.am's plastic hair hat.") Simon Cowell, Sony Music, FremantleMedia North America and FOX announced today that the highly anticipated singing competition series THE X FACTOR will award the show's winner with a record-breaking $5 million record deal � the largest guaranteed prize in television history � with Syco, a joint venture between Sony Music and Cowell.
The tour will make 50 concert stops in top arenas across North America, with additional dates to be announced soon. "I'm very excited to join Sade on her summer tour. A tribute to the iconic and influential singer/songwriter, the shows, curated by Joe Boyd, will showcase performances by Kate's children, Martha and Rufus Wainwright, Kate's sister, Anna McGarrigle, Jimmy Fallon, Emmylou Harris, Antony (of Antony and the Johnsons), Krystle Warren, Teddy Thompson, Justin Bond, and more. In conjunction with the shows, Nonesuch Records will release a new edition of the first two Kate & Anna McGarrigle albums. From the release of that eponymous album in 1976, Kate and Anna McGarrigle defined a sophisticated yet traditional branch of North American song. Their rich harmonies, rooted in the Irish and Quebecois music of their upbringing, drew listeners into a personal world of songs about romance, heartbreak, chemistry, solitude, ageing and adventure. This concert will reveal an artist who possessed an extraordinary gift for the craft of composition, showcased in such songs as Go Leave, (Talk to Me of) Mendocino, Kiss and Say Goodbye, and Tell My Sister, to name a few. more on this story

Adele's last proper show in the U.S. was in front of 19,000 fans at Los Angeles' historic Hollywood Bowl in June of 2009. On Friday, Live Nation acquired the equity interests in Front Line formerly held by Irving Azoff and Madison Square Garden. The cash portion of the transaction totaled $56.5 million and was funded with cash on hand. The remaining $59.7 million was paid using newly-issued shares of Live Nation common stock. As a result of the transaction, Live Nation will consolidate the entity for U.S. federal income tax purposes. Of the total shares issued, Mr. Azoff received 1.8 million shares of common stock and Madison Square Garden received 3.9 million shares of common stock. more on this story
