Kesha Sues Dr. Luke, Claiming Sexual and Physical Abuse
(Radio.com) A new lawsuit filed by Kesha and lawyer Mark Geragos claims that her former producer Dr. Luke was abusive toward her, both physically and sexually.

According to TMZ, the singer claims, among other things, that she was given "sober pills" after drinking with Dr. Luke (real name Lukasz Gottwald) and later woke up naked in his bed with no memory of getting there. In another instance, she claims he forced her to snort a drug on a plane and then forced himself on her after she had taken the drug.

She also brought forward claims of abuse that led to an eating disorder for which she had to enter rehab. "You are not that pretty, you are not that talented, you are just lucky to have me," he reportedly told her, along with calling her a "fat f**king refrigerator."

While Kesha has not commented on the lawsuit, her lawyer Geragos submitted a statement. "This lawsuit is a wholehearted effort by Kesha to regain control of her music career and her personal freedom after suffering for 10 years as a victim of mental manipulation, emotional abuse and an instance of sexual assault at the hands of Dr. Luke," he said. "The facts presented in our lawsuit paint a picture of a man who is controlling and willing to commit horrible acts of abuse in an attempt to intimidate an impressionable, talented, young female artist into submission for his personal gain. Kesha is focused on moving her life and her career beyond this terrible time."

Iggy Azalea Explains Why She Went Off On Paparazzo
(Radio.com) Last week a video surfaced where Iggy Azalea tried to run her grocery cart into a paparazzo who was stalking her at the supermarket and told him "I hope you have Ebola, I hope you die, you're a f**king c**t." At the very least, Kanye West would empathize with her.

Now Iggy's addressed the incident on Instagram, defending her stance and actions. As a caption for a photo of He-Man that reads, "Dude I'm having a bad trip!," Iggy defended what she said and why she said it.

"Something is only 'the way it is' for as long as one ALLOWS it to be," she wrote. "What I'm comfortable consenting a paparazzi do doesn't require anyone's opinion but my own. I don't see why that's hard for some to fathom.

"Judge me for spazzing if you like but you only saw the 30sec aftermath which was classy in comparison to what he said to us inside the grocery store where we discovered him lying on the floor after we had repeatedly & politely asked him to leave multiple locations during the course of the day." "It was a relationship where you never felt like you were standing on solid ground," she explained. "And that kind of a feeling brings on excitement, but also extreme anxiety and kind of a frantic feeling of wondering, endless questions."

The song, which she wrote with fun. and Bleachers singer, Jack Antonoff and you can hear a :36 second snippet of here, features lines like, "The rest of the world was black and white / We were in screaming color / Are we out of the woods, yet / Are we in the clear?"

Swift goes on to say that the song sounds like all of those anxieties, but it "stresses that a relationship is breakable and fragile and full of anxiety doesn't mean it isn't worthwhile, exciting and beautiful and all the things we hoped for."

Bono Reacts To U2 iTunes Invasion Backlash
(Radio.com) U2 is nothing if not self-aware, and that's especially true with frontman Bono. So when the band solicited questions from fans via their official Facebook page, they were probably anticipating a question about their surprise release of Songs Of Innocence, which (as you may have heard) showed up in millions of people's iClouds, whether they wanted it or not.

And they did indeed get such a question: a fan (or maybe a former fan) named Harriet Madeline Jobson asked Bono, "Can you please never release an album on iTunes that automatically downloads to people's playlists ever again? It's really rude."

Bono's response started out rather glib: "Oops." "I'm sorry about that," he continued. "I had this beautiful idea, we might have gotten a bit carried away with ourselves. Artists are prone to that kind of thing." Read the rest of his response here.

Joni Mitchell Curates New Box Set
(Radio.com) Beloved '70s folk icon Joni Mitchell is offering up something special for your holiday wishlist: a personally curated four-disc collection that will see 53 Mitchell classics remastered.

Titled Love Has Many Faces: A Quartet, A Ballet, Waiting to Be Danced, the project was conceived by Mitchell to be the music to a ballet about love, but after 18 months of song sequencing, she could not condense her work down to a single disc that seemed more than just a collection of old songs.

"I wanted the music to feel like a total work-a new work," Mitchell says in the liner notes. "No matter what I did, though, at that length, it remained merely a collection of songs."

Eventually, after two years, she had this new set, 53 songs that for her speak as a new work. "I am a painter who writes songs," Mitchell says. "My songs are very visual. The words create scenesWhat I have done here is to gather some of these scenes (like a documentary filmmaker) and by juxtaposition, edit them into a whole new work."

Little Big Town Release 'Quit Breaking Up with Me'
(Radio.com) Little Big Town are tired of breaking up. Well, not in real life. "Quit Breaking Up with Me," their newest song off their forthcoming album Pain Killer, talks of a drama-filled relationship that one just can't seem to escape.

The track opens with a distorted mic, which has members Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman sharing lead vocals singing "forever."

"You say it's over with a middle finger / But then you're calling before I turn off my ringer," they sing. "And I answer 'cause I love to hear 'you're sorry' for the 400th time."

Written by busbee, Natalie Hemby and Shane McAnally, the song finds the quartet singing of how they're always fixing something that was never broken. Despite the somber tone of the lyrics, it's easy to see the upbeat track being a hit in a live setting.

Toby Keith Unleashes Drunk Americans
(Radio.com) Just hours after announcing that his new album 35 MPH Town is on the way, Toby Keith released the lead single from what will be his 18th studio album.

Called "Drunk Americans," the song brings complete opposite walks of life together for one cause: drinking. "We ain't East we ain't West / We ain't left we ain't right," he sings, contrasting different folks from across the fence. "Ain't black ain't white / We just came here to drink."

The bar stomper, which Keith describes as what would happen if his previous hits "I Love This Bar" and "American Ride" had a child, noting that "we're all drunk Americans."

"We're the whole kitchen sinkwe're all the same, everyone knows your name," he continues. Keith has yet to announce a release date for 35 MPH Town. The album will be the followup to last year's Drinks After Work.

Kanye West's New Album 'Incredible' Claims Label CEO
(Radio.com) Is Kanye West's new album finished or isn't it? That's been the hardest-to-answer question in hip-hop all month. Def Jam's CEO Steve Bartels has at least just shed some more light on it.

In an interview with Billboard, the recently appointed head honcho gave a meaty - though still vague (hey, we'll take what we can get) - description of West's Yeezus follow-up.

"It sounds incredible," he said. "He's focused, energetic, happy and making unbelievably great music. Kanye always wants to make sure that when it actually arrives it's at the best possible place it could be, that the first song is as big as the last. He's the absolute bar of perfection in terms of that."

Bartel also went on to say that hip-hop's most divisive figurehead is still reaping the rewards of his former albums. Read more here.

Jessie J Defends Ariana Grande Over Diva Accusations
(Radio.com) Jessie J isn't one to throw fellow singer Ariana Grande under the bus. In fact, in a recent interview with US Weekly, the "Bang Bang" singer stuck up for Grande when asked about whether or not the rumors are true about Grande being a diva.

"I always say, judge a person when you meet them," Jessie told Us Weekly at the William Rast debut at Lord & Taylor in New York last week. "I've met Ariana, and there's a very thin line between 'diva' and 'survival.' And a lot of people can't [differentiate that] - and I've had that."

Jessie J went on to explain that she's also dealt with the term diva being directed at her. "It's when people can't cope with how passionate you are, and how much you care," she said.

Jack Antonoff Helps Taylor Swift Download Their New Song
(Radio.com) While her rabid fan base had no problem rocketing Taylor Swift's latest single, "Out of the Woods," straight to the top of the iTunes charts, the singer herself had some trouble accessing the tune, which she wrote with fun. member and Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff.

Swift took to Twitter last night (Oct. 13) to share a text conversation with Antonoff on how exactly to download the new tune to her phone, a perk of having already pre-ordered Swift's upcoming full-length, 1989, scheduled for release on Oct. 27.

It's the kind of adorable pop star exchange that fans dream of. It was also a sly, smart (albeit admittedly cute) way for Swift to show her followers exactly how to access the new tune while gently encouraging them to take part in the album pre-order, if they hadn't already.

She tweeted, "Tech support from @jackantonoff: How to get Out Of The Woods to download if you've already preordered 1989 on iTunes: http://t.co/0CDQrEwRZ9". She jumped over to Instagram to divulge even more of her text exchange with Antonoff. Read more here.
