Simpson reportedly is hospitalized in Tokyo, where she was admitted Thursday
(12/15) after collapsing following a performance for MTV Japan.
According to Us Weekly, the singer told
the crowd she felt ill after she performed her recent single "Boyfriend,"

Blabbermouth reports: Imran Ali of the Trinidad
& Tobago Express has issued the following report:
Marcus Daniel (photo), a 28- year-old Diego
Martin, Trinidad & Tobago mechanic, grabbed headlines last week when
he was convicted of murdering his teenaged cousin. In his defence, he claimed
he was high on drugs and possessed by a demon planted in him by hardcore
rock music.
It was the first time that such a defence
had been mounted in a local court, but the issue of the influence of rock
music on impressionable minds has gained prominence in other shores, where-according
to some-these devilish lyrics had led to even more sadistic crimes. [see

Billy Duffy will race in the Cabo 500 event on April 29, 2006. Duffy will
be racing with the Black Ghost Racing Team, in the Number 8, Trophy Truck.
The race, a Mexican National offroad racing
championship race, will run from the state capital of La Paz, Mexico to
the mega-resort capital of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California South, Mexico.

sensation Sigur Ros will be returning to the U.S. for a month long tour
this upcoming February in support of their latest album 2005's brilliant
'Takk
' Released last September on Geffen records, 'Takk
' was produced
by the band and Ken Thomas at their home studios in Alafoss, Iceland.
The U.S. tour begins with a February, 6th
appearance at Portland, ME's State Theatre and concludes at the end of

Bono and the world's richest couple Bill and Melinda Gates have been named
"Persons of the Year" by Time magazine. In a year where the headlines were
dominated by disasters (Asian Tsunami, Hurricane Katrina), war (Iraq),
and environmental issues (global warming), Bono, Bill Gates and Gates'
wife Melinda were chosen for their charitable work and efforts to combat
extreme poverty in the world.
According to Time, the three individuals
were bestowed the honour "For being shrewd about doing good, for rewiring
politics and re-engineering justice, for making mercy smarter and hope
